There is actually a way to save yourself from Teke Teke, all you gotta do is tell her “I know where your legs are” she will stop chasing you and ask you where, apparently you tell her “They are at [insert station she died at]” and she will leave you alone.

I heard you can tell her she is average, ignore her, drop candy or give it to her, or you can say something really random like “omg you need to go to a hospital” or “lions are my favorite insect”. You can even say a mix of the both yes and no to confuse her, something like yes no no yes. You could also give her tips on her looks. This could all be fake but I just heard about them while watching a video explaining the urban legend fully.

She told the Teke Teke story wrong, idk why it ends up getting translated to the girl just falling on the tracks but there are two stories. One is a schoolgirl being tied to the tracks by bullies and the other is a woman who fell on the tracks but while the paramedics were collecting her remains they noticed she was still alive and ignored her. Both of them are said to crawl around with a scythe and if she sees you she will cut you in half.

I used to live in Ikebukuro. (Have lived in and around Tokyo for almost twenty years now) I have been to Sunshine 60 so many times! There’s an aquarium, planetarium, and theme park in Sunshine 60, along with an incredible view of Tokyo and a cafe up at the top of the building, nice restaurants, and a toooooon of great stores to go shopping in. The theme park, (Namja town), is one of my favorite places to go play around at. There’s even a ghost/haunted section of the theme park, lol. I’ve been to a few of these places and/or know of them due to them being fairly infamous. I’ve also worked in schools here for years and years, lol. Can confirm the Hanako-san legend is fake. 😂 I sort of want to hit up all of these places before my family and I move. You know, my husband has been to Oshima often. 🤷🏼♀️ I remember him telling me it was haunted before he went lol. He doesn’t believe in anything paranormal. Just asked him, and he said he’s been there around ten times. Also, Oshima is famous for being the birthplace of Sadako, the ghost from Ringu, the original film that was originally remade as The Ring.

The story of Kuchisake-onna. In a small town in Japan, there was a very beautiful woman who would always wonder around asking people if she was pretty. They all said yes. Her husband did not like this at all and suspected that she was cheating on him. So one day he followed his wife, and it turns out she was indeed cheating on him. The man was furious, so the next day the man led his beautiful to a very private area. He pulled out a pair of scissors and cut her cheeks from ear to ear. She fell down onto the ground in pain. He said “who will think your beautiful now” and she bled to death

About Kuchisake-Onna (The slit mouth woman): An individual can survive an encounter with Kuchisake-onna by using one of several methods. In some versions of the legend, Kuchisake-onna will leave the potential victim alone if they answer "yes" to both of her questions, though in other versions, she will visit the individual's residence later that night and murder the person while sleeping.Other survival tactics include replying to Kuchisake-onna's question by describing her appearance as "average", giving the individual enough time to run away. Distracting her by giving or throwing money or hard candies (particularly the kind of candy known as bekko ame, made of caramelised sugar) in her direction, as she will stop to pick them up; or by saying the word "pomade" three times
