Horses do eat meat. In fact there’s almost no such thing as an animal that is exclusively an herbivore. Animals are opportunistic eaters and will eat what they can get. It’s just different for humans because we’re the only ones who breed, cage, and systematically kill other animals in gigantic quantities. (Without regularly using the whole animal)

pigs can be lived with as manure-gifters, truffle-finders, dirt-stompers, or just as loud, cuddly friends! also, pretty much all the land animals in G4 are shown to be fully sapient, like able to read books (Wuthering Hooves anypony?), communicate with complex language (not just with Fluttershy), and form complex social structures. so its pretty reasonable to assume that the kind-hearted apple family wouldn't keep the pigs if they didn't want to be there, and that no one is eating anyone's friends :D

Fun fact horses can eat meat. In Iceland they sometimes supplement their diet in winter with salted fish. Actually a lot of herbivorous animals have been seen eating meat, including deer and cattle. It's the specialized herbivores such as koalas that can't survive off of anything but one type of plant.
