Hey guys. First, I love your content! Keep it up!!! On the other hand, pelase do bear in mind that the proliferate mechanic changed, that is "With the release of War of the Spark, the rules for Proliferate changed. Previously, they allowed you to add 1 counter to the chosen permanents and players, of a type it already had. Now, it adds an additional counter for every type of counter already present." That is, for example, in turn 4 when Scott proliferates, if he chooses J Man, he also proliferates Stonecoil Serpent and/or any other counter he has. Simply said, when you proliferate, you now proliferate the player and his permanents.

Hey friend, glad you like the content. We definitely notice your regular commenting and appreciate it! I don’t think your war of the spark reference is accurate though. Proliferate states that a player may choose any number of permanents and/or players and then give each another counter of each they already have. We joked about Scott choosing the stonecoil serpent, but he didn’t. Therefore no counter is added. Scott did choose to give a counter to J man, but that does not require Scott to give a counter to the stonecoil. I think you may be thinking of a permanent having two different kinds of counters on it. If that were true, the proliferation would require that a counter of each type be put onto the thing. But in this case, all appears to be in order. If we are wrong, please share a source or link so we can review it too! Thanks buddy

Fraid not: 701.26a To proliferate means to choose any number of permanents and/or players that have a counter, then give each one additional counter of each kind that permanent or player already has. So if you have an energy counter & - 1/-1 on a creature, it gets one of each, but you don't need to target that creature when you proliferate, even if you target its controller.
