Bein friends is such a good Motivator. When i first played Mother 1 i was gonna put it up for the night after i got Lloyd with me, and then i heard this on the way to the store for his gear... and suddenly before i knew it i was at the Monkey cave and it was 2 AM.

Man, what a beautiful recreation of a heartwarming song... you have a certain style for these bright and cheery types of remixes that I just really find pleasant to listen to. :) I both enjoy and admire how well you use high-frequency instruments in your music... they always come across as bright and charming (and sometimes downright cute), but never harsh or shrill. It's a fine balance, and yet you manage to nail it every time! I'm also fond of how you differentiated the two sections using some rather distinct instrumentation. The steel drum in particular layers nicely with the reedy accordion and resonant harpsichord, and it's a creative combination that results in a unique and pleasing overall sound. As for the video itself, the image used is super endearing. In truth, I never made it far enough into the game to where you encounter EVE (Duncan's Factory is just so brutal) but I gave in to temptation and looked up gameplay videos of that section of the game, and _dang_ is it a powerful scene! Seeing the lyrics on-screen (thanks for including those!) along with the three characters just gave me a heavy dose of nostalgia for something I didn't even experience directly! 😅 Seriously, this is just excellent work, all-around, and I'm glad to see that this one is getting a nice amount of attention and appreciation! Keep it up, Luminous! ^_^

In all honesty, I haven’t touched Mother 1 at all, so don’t sell yourself short regarding the picture cuz you definitely know more about this game than I do :) Also I’m really happy you noticed the subtitles! I spent like an hour typing and timing that text, so it’s really nice to hear that work get acknowledged! I’m glad that was able bring out some pleasant, cheery vibes with this remix.
