Ruined suspension of disbelief during a final boss due to an item should be a video game TVTrope In this same game there's a Yo-yo you can 'use' in combat to make the opponent applaud, it works on every enemy and boss, including this final Masked Man. You got Earthbound, where you can sprinkle delisauce onto brain food lunch and chow down on a tray like it's school lunchtime while Giygas screams you down, honorable mention for Mother 1+2 GBA where you can throw a snake at them and they fall over, not intended but worth mentioning. You got Star Ocean 2 off the top of my head because I beat it yesterday, final boss there crumbles to stunlock from a Magic Rock, I don't even gotta explain that one, it just sounds hilarious.

That's just it. I imagine so many aspects of it, not the least of which, servos forcibly moving your limbs where you don't want them to go, working without sleep, pain through all the operations which I doubt were very moral, on top of being forcibly split from family and having your mind manipulated towards a pure evil that makes you so enraged because all you'd want to do is fight that evil. I imagine it was mostly the servos still holding Claus up at this time, still forcing him, to that final point where he had one glimpse of an independent thought, and with the last real strength he had in his arm, shot a shot he knew would backfire. That final flop into bed after ultimate fatigue, it's good that he hit it right.

Every time if you backtrack to the village, 90% of the villagers have new dialogue in every single fucking chapter. Even if you’re as far as the thunder tower or all the way at the club titibo, the game and emotions and music are something that took time and love to make, something that’s never hit me like this before. Please, encourage more people to play this game

Spoilers i guess? That's one of my favorite details of the game, how the whole thing about them moving to NPC is foreshadowed really early if you talk to them, why it explains why Fuel and his father are in the group of characters that show up before Porky reveals himself, or even as early as the first chapters where you can find butch making a deal with Fassad. But my favorite one is the one that slightly hints at the whole White ship backstory, with the blonde girl with the ponytail, i think her name is Nan? at one point in the story she can be found in the village square, and she's pondering why none of the villagers look alike, despite some of them being families and relatives of each other.

This is why i consider Mother 3 a piece of art, and my favorite game of all time, nothing has made me feel as much raw emotion as this game, ever i always tear up with chapter 6 and cry with this final fight... man... i couldn't live without my brother... the line that always hit me the hardest is always "Claus... Claus... Claus... Come to your mother. You must be so exhausted. Come here, Claus.", first time i read that i felt a chill down my spine, there's so much power behind those lines thanks for documenting this, and sharing your emotions 💛 Also, i'm not sure if you're aware but there's a game heavily inspired by the mother series, at first it was a fan game simply tittled Mother 4, but then they removed anything related to the mother series so nintendo couldn't take the project down like they've done with countless other fan game, nowadays it's called "Oddity" and so far we've only gotten one trailer, looks amazing so far (well it already looked amazing 7 years ago when it was still mother 4, there's the running joke of "coming winter 2014" yeah this game's been in development for like 12 years now haha, but i still got hope in the team behind it)
