From what I heard, it's supposed on EVERY enemy, with its effect being aleays dropping its health to one, but for some reason, it CONVENIENTLY only works with the enemy with the most ammount of health in the entire game (dis modaf🗿ka got 10M hp)

camwoodstock: its because Lucas cast PK Counter in the whole party first before the statue attacks, so the attack will reflect back to the statue once it attacks a character that has been enveloped by a PK Counter..

I just beat Boss Battles on Very Hard mode and unlocked the Porky Statue, when I read it's description I noticed an error: The weapon used to weaken the stutue was called "New Years Eve" when really it is called "New Years Eve Bomb" I'm writing Nintendo a letter to make an error free version of SSBB as we speak! Wish me luck! :D

its possible to defeat without the NYE bomb or PK flash correct me if im wrong but isnt the battle system when u take damage so as long as u can keep the roller from going to 0 when u attack next ur fine, so all u ave to do is use that healing psi everytime the hit is more than your current hp

Someone has beat the statue without PK flash or NYE bomb but it took playing half of a Mother 3 full playthrough, even though it was going at a 5x speed,I think.

IIRC, something about the way the game tallies damage makes the game crash after you do enough damage to the statue. Since Flash kills instantly without doing a damage calculation, and the New Year's Eve bomb simply sets the HP of all enemies to 1, both of those methods avoid crashing the game. This also explains why he's immune to Ground, because using it would very quickly crash the game.

to battle with the statue, examine it 3 times... in 3rd time you examine it, you will be asked by a question 'Return the hostility to the statue?' If you select yes.. It will attack your party.

New Year's bomb is the only item that does that much damage, beside from Pk flashing it to death... You could go at 4x speed, 10 hit combo, and beat it within half of playing this whole game straight.... Yes someone did it...
