People were not letting her suffer. She had a place she could go to eat and drink water, that was safe from the elements. She was suffering because she didn't know where her friend was. And losing the babies was due to a deformaty caused by an accident, that did not allow the babies come out.

Im so so sorry that precious baby endured all of that loss (who knows how much she had lost before?), but so very grateful for the enduring search for her mate and them being together again.
