Kids between the ages of 9 to 12 are called pre-teenagers or tweens and at this stage they go through a lot of mental and emotional changes, so being afraid or scared to talk about these changes and their behaviors will further ruin them. I will advice bonding with them and having very open minded conversations about what you see them doing or yet to do and about what you expect from them. Trust me these cartoons, games, and apps especially android apps have contents tagged Y-7 and yet are not kid friendly. They are also exposed to other kids in school who have picked behaviors from other kids and families. Therefore, communicating with your pre-teen and being calm in the process like the therapist mentioned is important. Let them trust you enough to share what they go through on a daily basis with you. I am that parent who is technologically savvy and have done my very best to block all gaming sites but trust me they are sometimes a step ahead. What about games that are said to be for kids and the ads that pop up while they play these games which are all adult contents. We can only do what we can as humans, not overlooking God's words and instilling a habit of prayer in them will go a long way. God help every parent that is working super hard to raise a Godly and responsible child. I totally agree with the psychologist, she did justice to the topic 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏.

There is a app called Family Link provided by Google. I use the app to control my children's location, what they watch and I have to approve a game before they can download. The Family Link app also let you set a time when your children can use their phones. If you you set a time like 6:00pm - 9:00am, this means your child will have his /her phone but can't use it . This app is very good for parents and can be used for the whole family

Nyma first sentence was right but she explained it wrongly. The parents that's providing Internet and computer for a child should turn on a filter that can only suggest under age content. Even android OS has age restricted filter to stop adult materials.Turn it on before handing them a computer. A child that understands this filters and turn them off is certainly smarter than most,so keep an eye on them. Morayo where we're you yesterday? Miss you!! Your view was too socially distanced without you..😎That guest Mrs Gold had an opportunity to speak on Tv and she really wants to be heard.l was expecting her to pull out a megaphone next.😂 Sending lots of love and light. Thank you.

It is not necessarily what the parent search , Some click bits are created in such a way that it targets kids. the internet is watching. Parent should take it up to them self to check what kids watch

On these devices, you can set parental permissions that stops the devices from visiting certain sites or apps. Don't just hand over new phones or tablets without setting parental controls for your kids.

Ok checking on ur children while on computer is all fine and good but most African parents need to stop thinking that questions means u are challenging ur parents because that’s how google comes in and explain to ur children that’s how they learn it is ur lack of explanations causing curiosity 💁🏽♀️

Children are learning to bypass parental control. Also, some content is created to bypass parental control. I've found KZbin videos under childlike titles that are highly inappropriate for children.

@@Akakatang Agreed, but then that's where the parents have to step in to have these difficult conversations with their kids.

A mother cried out on social media only a few weeks ago after she discovered her 11 year old son was being sexually molested and introduced to sodomy and gay activities in what is supposed to be a Christian / faith school. Much as I kept looking, I didn’t read of or hear about the voice of a single Nigerian pastor addressing that situation or condemning it. It just washed over like as if, it’s only another every day occurrence. NIGERIA HAS TRULY BECOME A STRANGE COUNTRY & STRANGE SOCIETY. Is it the same country where a married man is recently reported to be cheating on his wife with another man!!!!! No hope left. May God have mercy.
