Yes, that's right Kam Mueller, agree with you, however it is NOT a comedian's responsibility to do the bouncer's or club manager's job. Do you think Seinfeld or Sebastian Maniscalco put up with a club that allows people to disrupt their show? No! As you gain experience you learn to put policies in place to avoid big confrontations with drunks. A little bantering is fine, but if it gets where it is interrupting the audience it is not and time for that person to leave. All experienced comics know this and they wouldn't step foot in a club that didn't do their job and expect them to do it for them. At the beginning of their careers perhaps but that is out of naivety and ignorance and sometimes lack of self-respect.

That's comedy in a nutshell. I know people that have been raped, beaten by their partners e.t.c. yet fully understand what a comedy show is. And what it might (probably) will entail. And they can still have a good laugh. Also, nothing wrong with getting offended. Just as long as you are able to control yourself and wipe it away from your mind. @MexicanTeTe2 ай бұрын
@CorrectionUnknown Babysitting your one little sibling occasionally isn't the same as having to clothe, feed, and care for 18 other kids. That's child neglect at that point. The only way those size families function is that the parents delegate their own daily responsibilities down to the older children, which robs those children of the experience of being kids themselves. The Duggars were that kind of family, and they were so neglectful and so unable to parent all of the children they irresponsibly produced that they continued to leave their younger children under the care of an older brother who molested them allegedly even after they knew about it. Because free domestic labor/babysitting for the parents is more important than their kids well being at that point.

@@thedudeamongmengs2051 , I don't think you understand what constitutes a "conservative". In theory everyone can't pay for all these welfare children, and the ones not having children so the welfare mothers can have more should be respected. Liberals are the ones getting all that welfare money, not conservatives. I'm from Mississippi (GO TRUMP), which isn't one of the richer states but the reason a lot of people in MS are on welfare isn't because they are conservative, it's black liberals that live off the government! The point was whether or not the comedian would win. Odds aren't in their favor. It's quick thinking versus preparedness, and comedians normally have everything worked out before they get on stage. Actually, since most comedians can't handle hecklers then if people start thinking hecklers should get owned by comedians this expectation will harm comedians. It will both stop the show as the comedian is expected to deal with them and lose them cred when they can't.

As an oldest child in a family with 9 kids, I absolutely resent my parents for having kids they couldn't afford or look after. We looked forward to welfare food boxes every week and lived off very basic food like noodles. Having to walk the groceries home with mum from a far distance. It might not be a crime to have lots of kids but you're bloody selfish if you do, in my opinion. I never had a childhood and was mum up until I had to cut my siblings off just to have my own life. I had to leave school early to get a job at 15 during school hours to help feed everyone, and I shared a bed with two other kids till I was 16. When we do struggle with money, we are taught to first rely on family for assistance. If we do receive welfare from the church, it comes at a cost, typically a member has to sacrifice luxuries like cable or internet, cut their own excessive expenditures, before welfare from the church is received. Just because a religion is focused on families and raising large ones, does not mean their being negligent of the responsibilities that come with it. I used to go to the Comedy Store in Hollywood on Sunday nights to watch Sam Kinison try out new material. The funniest night of my life was when a heckler in the crowd decided to try Sam. I was on the floor in a fetal position trying to get air into my lungs from laughing. I saw a documentary on Kinison where Dennis Miller (i believe) was talking about a night where Sam went off - he said that he knew he would never laugh that hard again during his life. From the description, he was talking about the night I'm talking about. A brilliant comedian will not have the heckler removed, that person will become the center of the comedy, without even realizing it and will eventually pass out from alcohol or shut up because they're getting the worst of it. I've never seen it pay to be a heckler.

@RedceLL19786 жыл бұрын
As a lefty, i agree. Stop fucking if you can't afford kids. And diversity is a good thing. But it shouldn't be used as a topical weapon to tear someone down that's obviously just helping us all have a laugh at life. As far as the asking others for help stuff goes, i don't begrudge folks for asking for help because it's not the kid's fault and as long as it helps that kid have a good chance at a future, I'm cool with it. Plus, folks who on welfare usually have worked and paid taxes to earn that right. Many times as i say that, righties still can't be convinced they're not moochers even after they've worked and paid taxes. We do agree on one thing though. If you have 19 kids and you're on welfare, chances are, you most definitely haven't payed in what you're taking out. But under no circumstances should innocent kids be denied a chance at a healthy life, education and a future.
