I like Tachibana otosan, he is just reserved and has flaws like most of the family characters. He is also very patient with okasan and enjoys his family even though he plays pranks on them. In one episode he kept admiring how his family has dreams, even though they were small dreams. Mikan has also gotten away with being tricky to her father once by switching the book he was reading 😂 One of my main favorite episodes with Otosan is when he comes back from a job trip when Mikan and Yusupi are still little kids and brings back a gift. Don’t want to spoil this part for those who have not seen it but it’s hilarious. Otosan May be selfish, reserved and not much of a communicator with his family but he is a good dad and husband, he gives his family their own space and doesn’t but in in their arguments even though this is not always good. But you can tell how everyone at home cares for him and he is also a humorous family member enjoying the funny things that happen with the rest of his family. I would categorize Otosan’ and okasan’s marriage as a good one and this family as a happy one in spite of all their imperfections.

So whenever he acts like a decent person we should admire him? All the other characters are lovely and with flaws. But Tachibana just want to be served and enjoy himself, and when Mother does something wrong he goes mad and grumpy. I just avoid the episodes when he is the main character.
