To me, this song is about someone with an eating disorder. The line "now that you're all gone, I bet you don't feel lighter" could be about how even though someone lost a lot of weight, their body dysmorpia still makes them feel fat. Also, the line "but I did it wrong" could be referring to the fact that the way the person lost the weight was unhealthy. Just my interpretation, but maybe I'm projecting lol

Ok but I really love this interpretation. Also the bomb part might be about the self-destruction tendencies you get when you're in that state of mind and how you start doing things that push you to the edge. "There's a lot leftover" is another line that hits hard since you feel like it's never enough, and there's always A LOT of weight left to lose. And the part at the beginning about changing your name and having a completely different identify can be about how people start treating you differently after losing weight and how you change to a completely different person but you are still never satisfied and you seek more. hope this makes sense. Also, I hope you're doing well ♡

I couldn't have said it better lol Another line that I think is significant is the "I'm getting close to reinventing me, zeroing my levels" . The reinventing themselves part may be about how they want to look like a completely different person, and the "zeroing my levels" may be about how they want to weigh the smallest amount possible. Another line, the"I get the feeling that I will not be, at all or any better" could be about how they know that losing weight won't make them feel better, but they do it anyways. I'm assuming that you have also dealt with an eating disorder and if you have, i just want to send you all the best wishes. I'm still recovering and it's really hard but I know I have to keep going. Stay strong, we can both get through this(◍•ᴗ•◍)

I'm really sorry for my late reply, also it's okay! you're doing amazing right now, and I'm sure that you'll get through it, recovery is surely hard but it's never impossible, I'm rooting for you! I totally agree with those lines' interpretation, it's really fascinating how this song can be so relatable no matter how you look at it. Besides I have dealt and I am still dealing with weight issues and a really bad self image. It can get really bad at times but all I can do is push through it. You are such a sweet person and I'm really grateful for every encouraging word and wish you all the best as well. I know you can do it and I believe in you just so you know. Thoughts can be tempting, but at the end of the day they're just thoughts, and you are so much stronger than thoughts. I also advise you to get healthy coping mechanisms like reading books, doing art (writing, drawing, dancing, singing, acting, doing diys even ahahaha etc), try surrounding yourself with positive people (even online if you can't do it in real life because same!), try following blogs that make you feel better, try new things that you might not have considered at first etc, these might not be all the ways nor the best ways, but these are things that helped me throughout really bad times and in those times it's so easy to just let go and give in to the pain but it's much more rewarding to fight back and keep going. I'm sorry for going off about this for too long, I hope that everything gets better and that you have a nice week 🤍
