Maybe it's based on how they developed? Traditions and so? After all, only male child can inherit your bloodline (spiritual not biological), and also, your son will take care of you once he grow up and married. Instead of having to give your daughter, who your tried hard to raises, educated, aways and live your old days lonely. (Normally, Asian wife will move to their husband's home's which is basically where his parent live). Alot of Asian countries are in-developed after all, we are not that rich. xD

Probably because of the one child policy in China. You'd favor a boy because they could do manual labor and take care of you better in your old age. Sadly China is reaping the whirlwind of that evil policy, and there are an excess of men in China. Meaning many of them will die without ever marrying because there aren't enough women for them all.

@@kl9686 In my country (In SE Asia) most the girls take care of the parents. Doesn’t matter if they’re married and live in a different household. My family in particular take turns caring for the parents, it’s not a responsibility just for male children. @@Kamala-4-President That's not how statistics work, my dude. You're looking at the demographic makeup of the existing children, not the odds the the next child is male. @@laughablelarry9243 Minimum is 3 per woman to maintain growth rate, population stagnancy or worse recession, is economically destructive to society. Especially a socialized society, which all the retards are obsessed with these days, an aging population is a burden that rests on the productivity of the young, this requires young to avoid collapse, obviously... As western/industrial (Japan/China) nation's populations age, itself the product of 'emancipated' women's low birth-rates, this burden becomes increasingly untenable forcing the birth rate in future generations down even lower in a desperate shortsighted attempt to cope with the economic stress, you can imagine where that leads. Less children is not a solution to this problem, unless we forego socialized nations, rather more children and a renewed vigor towards interplanetary colonial expansion. The continued existence of a liberal or libertarian minded society demands it, it is the only way as this planet's resources however vast are definitively finite and mans potential for expansion at least hypothetically infinite as we have cast off the restraints of nature disease/famine/elements and competitive predation. At least until we reach the event horizon so to speak. That's in order to maintain a 'free' society at least, there is one other option, the adoption of a strict totalitarian regime, this would necessitate a form of eugenics involving both compelled breeding (and the cessation of it) along with controls established for the exact sex of every permitted childbirth, it obviously does a society no good to have a disproportionate swing in sexual dynamics of the future generations based purely on happenstance or the whimsy of the parents. Personally I prefer manifest destiny.

I never assumed things about the whole planet i was talking about the people in the state i live in because I know for a fact that everyone here hates dressing up!
