The mother of two boys hit and killed by Rebecca Grossman is expressing her disappointment in the socialite's recent sentencing.
In an interview at the family home, Nancy Iskander said the sentence handed down by the judge was not severe enough.

She’s understandably filled with hate. The problem was she was not there when this happened. Although Grossman was not impaired, the jury learned that she had consumed some alcohol and was taking Valium. That was deeply prejudicial and I’m sure it will be taken up on appeal. What they have to look at is Rebecca Grossman personally. She is not an evil murderer. This was an accident, and there was a degree of negligence and perhaps recklessness. If she serves nine years, this will be much too severe. I could see her serving a year at the most anything else is excessive. Something that needs to be considered is how Grossman will be treated in prison. The prisoners will know that she comes from wealth, and they will extort from her sexually and physically abuse her in violation of the eighth amendment. The prisons will either put this woman in solitary confinement or have her in the general population and either way it will be torture. The parents have to accept the fact that Grossman cannot admit guilt for legal reasons. If they don’t think the Grossman is truly shocked and saddened by the two deaths, they’re out of their minds and not facing reality. Again, this is not a murder. It is a lot less.

Do you know anything about this case?! Have you actually interacted with Mrs. Grossman or spoken to people who have dealt with Rebecca Grossman? I have done both, and I can tell you that your description of the type of person she has been is completely wrong. A “degree of negligence and perhaps recklessness?!” The woman was racing at 81 mph down a residential street after consuming alcohol with Valium in her system. She 100% WAS impaired and is fully aware that driving under the influence of anything, coupled with excessive speed racing is a recipe for disaster and can absolutely lead to the death of others. She didn’t even stop after plowing through the boys until her car forced her to and has done nothing but blame everyone but herself during the entire trial. Nothing needs to be considered in regard to how she may be treated in jail. Did she ever consider the lives of these poor boys and their family while she has spent the last 4 years denying any wrongdoing?! I’m sorry, but the only people who are being “tortured” in this case are the family and friends of the Iskanders, having to relive the MURDER of their beautiful boys every single day.
