This was an awesome memory for me. My mother , brother and I took that ship over 63 years ago from new York to London to meet my grandparents. I had no idea it was in California. Your family is absolutely beautiful inside and out.❤

Sorry to say, but I did not have the beautiful Mother's Day I usually used to have with both of my two children as I lost my 28 y/o son on March 8 of this year. Loosing a child is very difficult. Take it one day at a time. Lost two cousins and my best friend within several month of each other over a year ago. The cousins and best friend had children and grands. I get you and you are in my prayers. Stay safe and take care of your self.

Saw your video from being on Tamron's talk show and I was thinking that my husband and I can be this happy, we have been this happy when we didn't have the pressures of his divorce parents on our marriage and him. But the pressures are real and we love each other so much we are pushing through it. We are also an interracial couple like you both and married since 2011. When your in laws do not really care to have a loving relationship or a relationship at all but they treat you cordially it is hard because I was raised being close to family and my husband wasn't. So his mother's side and father's side places a lot of pressure and I fear that we won't really achieve true marriage happiness until a while after and that thought alone saddens me. His family never makes an effort to reach put to our young children, they just make demands and expect them met. So because of no one being close my husband and I make everything about us 2 and our 2 children. We are 4 bestfriends! Thank you both for such a beautiful video. Blessings~

I have empathy for your disappointment. Can’t make other people happy especially when they disregard your humanity so please stop trying to. Continue to focus on creating strong familial bonds and memories with your children and the family blood or not that the choose tone on your life.

​@pearlsrevealed Thank you. Great advice that I work towards doing that daily in my life. I am left with emotional hurts that I pray to God to overcome. I know I will one day. It's sad there's a part of my husband that seeks after family (and there's nothing wrong with that) but it blinds him from the reality of things. It distracts his mind, emotions and heart. From day 1 of our marriage I had to fight family for my own husband. We never had a fair chance to enjoy being husband and wife. Blessings~
