Mother, Sister, Lifesaver

Amelia Naylor was an active and healthy 10 year old - until the day she stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest during a school running race. It was a parents worst nightmare - especially for Mum Jo Naylor, who works in neonatal resuscitation, and had to administer bystander CPR to her own daughter while she waited for an ambulance to arrive. Jo and an army of paramedics and medical professionals saved Amelia’s live - but Jo knows that without the bystander CPR her daughter received, she would not be with us anymore. Now, Jo and Amelia are keen to share their story to ensure as many people as possible know what to do in the event of an emergency.
