It's good to hear a major public source like the BBC acknowledge Bengal tigers are the largest cat in the world in the 21st century. Contemporary studies have found Amur tigers, commonly thought to be the largest, are in fact lighter than Bengal tigers, by about 20kg. This is most likely due to habitat loss & hunting destroying the gene pool. At one point there were only 20-30 Amur tigers in the wild
@saurabhpatil3654Ай бұрын

Feel sorry for the lovely, innocent-of-all, fawn ! 💔 Had hardly lived a few days in the warmth of the doe..it is when the mothers in the cat family start training their cubs for the killer bite, that it all becomes more gruesome..fawns and other baby animals are delibrately maimed by the mothers and dropped off in front of their curious, blood-thirsty cubs, to learn.. If you live on the fringes of any forest, your amazing dogs are the ones you get to admire the most and also, trust for their finely tuned instincts and swiftness in reaction.. them being much above your own senses and your intuition !

Fun fact: many archaeological finds of prehistoric human skeletons compounded to a pretty scary realization: a lot, and I mean A LOT of these skeletons were showing injuries consistent with teeth and claws of precursors to Smilodon (sabertooth cat), which were even larger, stronger, and more agile. Research and study over the years pretty much confirmed that the very early human ancestors (from pliocene to pleistocene, mainly Habilis and Australopithecus) were being actively and VERY regularly hunted by these large cats. That means that during those times, if you were to die by the "hand" of some predator, 9 times out of 10 it would be a cat that's larger than a grizzly bear. Also, many of these cats were nocturnal hunters. Imagine the situation, and let that sink in. Feel free to randomly remember this fact when you're petting cats.
