Marley was separated from his littermates when he was only two months old. The lone pup had no street survival skills and struggled immensely to manage on his own. One day, things went from bad to worse when he got hit by a speeding vehicle and broke his leg. Luckily, VOSD Pune team rescued Marley immediately and got him the requisite treatment. Soon after, he was moved to a paid boarding where the little dog spent some weeks to heal and recuperate. After Marley became fit again, efforts were made to get him adopted but no one came forward to adopt an Indie dog. Since Marley couldn't be let back on the streets, a place where he faced so much dejection, we welcomed him to VOSD sanctuary.
It's been two years since the black-snouted Marley came to live with us. It's very gratifying to watch sweet Marley smile big which he often does. He stays with other friendly dogs like himself and is completely, perfectly and incandescently happy. He was once all alone in a very cold world but at the sanctuary he is surrounded by hundreds of dogs and humans who have nothing but warmth to offer.
Marley is an enthusiastic eater and loves meal times. A positive environment and the right nutrition has helped Marley grow up to be a handsome and healthy boy. He will now spend the rest of his life watching starlit nights and listening to birdsong with his many companions at the sanctuary.
