Mothers Day Message from a Special Mother's Life | Easwaramma Day Satsangh

Mother Easwaramma shouldered the unique 'opportunity' and 'burden' of being mother to Sri Sathya Sai Baba. May 6th is celebrated as Easwaramma Day and Children's Day every year. Why do we celebrate a day when Mother Easwaramma died? The answer has been provided by Swami Himself through the narration of the poignant episode on May 6th 1972. Two points come out strongly from her life:
1. The Mother was foremost among devotees.
2. The Lord is ready to become a 'son' for His devotee.

Yes Easwaramma was chosen by Swamy to be His Mother but Eswarammah chose To be Swamys Ardent Devotee ! She chose to be one amongst us going round Prasanthy Nilayam in the early days ! And I was so privileged to walk behind Her ‘ The chosen Mother worshipping her God Son! , she will allow the few of us to follow her to her humble tiny flat and we sit around her and she will touch our heads and bless the few lucky ones in her own language , that privilege became a routine which she welcomed with open arms ! I would like to share in the early days the devotees in Brindavan are allowed to do Aarthi to Swamy early morning after Nagara Sangertan the Devotees bring our own Arthi plate etc ! We focus on the grandeur and the "Lord" side of Bhagwan that we overlook that He carried out His duties of human body so perfectly to set up the examples for us , be it Rama avatar, Krishna avatar or our Swami as Sathya Sai ... Om sai ram brother Arvind. A beautiful presentation and put forward in a simplistic manner that one can relate to. So interesting to note the warm and loving relationship that mother had with the villagers. Unfortunately we cannot nurture such relationships due to the nature of our environment. There is no safety walking on our roads. We have to pray to Swami to protect us at all times.The quality of life in Prashanti is so different and based on spiritually.
