Makes me want to just go listen to Pavement...haha...a good cover - probably the most like the original of all the ones I have heard so far, well done and fun. He does sound like Malkmus but didn't capture the anxiety in his voice but it still was great to listen to.

I really wish they would've covered "Gold Soundz", a totally underrated song of Pavements.

I'd like to see somebody cover Tell Me That You're Alright by MCS. That song is begging for it.

A.V. Clubs cover list is decided by the fans, not the A.V. Club. It makes sense that singles are picked for the songs.
@GravityB211 жыл бұрын
I frequently see Gold Soundz listed as one of the best, if not the best Pavement song. I don't think it's underrated at all.

Pavement are to Justin Pierre as Motion City Soundtrack are to me, he literally described them how I'd describe MCS.

Not a fan of this band but I can't be mad at this cover. Obviously done with respect and a lot of care.

I feel kind of ironic that MCS got me to listen to Pavement though to sound pretty terrible, this is one of the few songs of theirs I really like. But God damn do I like the shit out of it.

I agree that there are better Pavement songs, but this is a program for covers. Most of them were radio hits, not deep cuts.
@AndycMusicGuru11 жыл бұрын
great cover. to many guitars! lol
@theredtomato12 жыл бұрын
the fact that the a.v. club chose 'cut your hair' as the pavement song they'd like to hear covered only proves that the a.v. club doesn't listen to pavement. pavement does so so much better than 'cut your hair' and any music experts who do not know this are not worth listening to.

dont have to be...but that was an extremely weak acoustic solo...you should listen to better music
@LucasChemotti11 жыл бұрын
It seems like nobody in Motion City Soundtrack knows when enough is enough. I get the amount acoustic guitars in this was done as purposeful overkill, but the "nerd" vibe they give off is just as bad as big bang theory. As much as I loved this band when "Commit This To Memory" came out, I can't stand them now.
@aaronguzman340111 жыл бұрын
Dont even bring up big bang theory.... Its a shitty show that brings distase in "nerds" mouth. MCS has been around way longer that that shit show.
@jsh02010 жыл бұрын
they didnt use all those guitairs to appeal to something that deosnt exist like nerd culture, they have that many guitars because thats how many are used in the song they are covering
