a : 66½° b: Rotation:The motion of the earth on it's axis is called rotation and the inclination and Rotation of earth occurs day and night change phenomenon. Revolution is the motion of earth around sun(on the orbit of sun). Revolution occurs season change phenomenon. c: Summer solstice: On 21-22 June when sun rays directly fall on the tropic of cancer and incoming solar energy is highest in the Northern hemisphere is called summer solstice. At the time of summer solstice summer in northern hemisphere and winter occurs in southern hemisphere and respectively days are bigger and nights are smaller in northern hemisphere and nights are bigger and days are smaller in southern hemisphere. Winter solstice: On 21-22 December when sun rays directly fall on the tropic of Capricorn and incoming solar energy is highest in the Southern hemisphere is called winter solstice. At the time of winter solstice summer in Southern hemisphere and winter occurs in northern hemisphere and respectively days are bigger and nights are smaller in southern hemisphere and nights are bigger and days are smaller in northern hemisphere. Equinox: when sun rays directly fall on Equator,so incoming solar energy equal in both hemisphere this phenomenon is called equinox. Thus on 21-22 March occurs vernal equinox or spring season and on 22-23 sep occurs autumnal equinox so on 21st March and 23rd September entire earth experience equal day and equal night.

Encyclopedia Britannica HomeGames & QuizzesHistory & SocietyScience & TechBiographiesAnimals & NatureGeography & TravelArts & CultureMoneyVideos Home Demystified Science Science & Tech Demystified: What's the Difference Between a Solstice and an Equinox? Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc. What's the Difference Between a Solstice and an Equinox? Written by Fact-checked by You may know that the solstices and equinoxes signal the changing of the seasons on Earth, but do you remember which is which? Are they just different names for the same thing? Actually, a solstice and an equinox are sort of opposites. The seasons on Earth change because the planet is slightly tilted on its axis as it travels around the Sun. This means different points on Earth receive more or less sunlight at different times of year. If Earth were not tilted, the Sun would always appear to be directly above the Equator, the amount of light a given location receives would be fixed, and there would be no seasons. There also would be no need to mark equinoxes or solstices. Because the earth is tilted on its axis with respect to the plane of its orbit around the sun, different parts of its surface are in direct (overhead) sunlight at different times of the year. © Merriam-Webster Inc. The two solstices happen in June (20 or 21) and December (21 or 22). These are the days when the Sun’s path in the sky is the farthest north or south from the Equator. A hemisphere’s winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and its summer solstice the year’s longest. In the Northern Hemisphere the June solstice marks the start of summer: this is when the North Pole is tilted closest to the Sun, and the Sun’s rays are directly overhead at the Tropic of Cancer. The December solstice marks the start of winter: at this point the South Pole is tilted closest to the Sun, and the Sun’s rays are directly overhead at the Tropic of Capricorn. (In the Southern Hemisphere the seasons are reversed.) The equinoxes happen in March (about March 21) and September (about September 23). These are the days when the Sun is exactly above the Equator, which makes day and night of equal length. Seasons. Earth orbiting around Sun; shows its position at solstices and equinoxes, climate, weather, atmosphere, summer, fall, winter, spring, meteorology, climate change. Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc. So, in the Northern Hemisphere you have: Vernal equinox(about March 21): day and night of equal length, marking the start of spring Summer solstice (June 20 or 21): longest day of the year, marking the start of summer Autumnal equinox(about September 23): day and night of equal length, marking the start of autumn Winter solstice (December 21 or 22): shortest day of the year, marking the start of winter Home Demystified Geography & Travel Geography & Travel Demystified video whats the difference between great britain and the united kingdom Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc. What’s the Difference Between Great Britain and the United Kingdom? Written by Fact-checked by The names Great Britain and United Kingdom are often used interchangeably. However, they are not actually synonymous. The reason for the two names, and the difference between them, has to do with the expansive history of the British Isles. The British Isles are a group of islands off the northwestern coast of Europe. The largest of these islands are Britain and Ireland. (Smaller ones include the Isle of Wight.) In the Middle Ages, the name Britain was also applied to a small part of France now known as Brittany. As a result, Great Britain came into use to refer specifically to the island. However, that name had no official significance until 1707, when the island’s rival kingdoms of England and Scotland were united as the Kingdom of Great Britain. Ireland, meanwhile, had effectively been an English colony since the 12th century, and after the emergence of Great Britain, it remained under the influence of the British crown. In 1801 it formally joined with Great Britain as a single political entity, which became known as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland-or the United Kingdom for short. However, the union lasted only until 1922, when Ireland (with the exception of six counties in the north) seceded. Ireland soon became a sovereign republic, and its former partner took on the official name of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Great Britain, therefore, is a geographic term referring to the island also known simply as Britain. It’s also a political term for the part of the United Kingdom made up of England, Scotland, and Wales (including the outlying islands that they administer, such as the Isle of Wight). United Kingdom, on the other hand, is purely a political term: it’s the independent country that encompasses all of Great Britain and the region now called Northern Ireland.

It takes approximately 365.25 days for Earth to orbit the Sun - a solar year. We usually round the days in a calendar year to 365. To make up for the missing partial day, we add one day to our calendar approximately every four years. That is a leap year.

Ans. ⭐ ' Rotation ' refers to the movement of earth on its axis. Whereas, ⭐'Revolution' refers to the movement of earth around the sun on its fixed circular path or orbit. For e.g, the earth takes about 24 hrs to complete one rotation around its axis. ( The period of rotation is known as Earth day). Whereas, Revolution, it takes 365^1/4 days ( one year) to revolve around the sun but we consider only 365 days and ignore 6 hours for the sake of inconvenience. ⭐Ans:) the surplus day is added to the month of February.thus every fourth year , February is of 29 days instead of 28 days . Such a year with 366 days is called a leap year. ⭐ Ans:)on 21st March and September 23rd, direct rays of the sun fall on the equator. At this position, neither of the poles is tilted towards the sun; so, the whole earth experiences equal days and nights . This is called an equinox. ⭐Ans:) when northern part of the hemisphere tilted towards the sun and tropic of cancer recieves direct rays of the sun . It is summer in the north of the equator and vice versa . The longest days and shortest night at these places occur on 21st June and vice versa . This is called summer solstice. While on 22nd December, the southern pole tilted towards the sun and tropic of Capricorn recieved direct rays of the sun. Therefore it is summer in the southern hemisphere with longer days and shorter nights and reverse happens in the northern hemisphere. this is called winter solstice.

#streak 3 in geography 🌍😌🥰..... thanks mam for this amazing session 🥰 🌀SUMMER SOLISTICE :- Summer solstice occurs , when the earth tilt towards the sun at a maximum. It is on the 21 june . On this day, night become shortest and day become longest then the whole year day in the northern hemisphere. The sun rays directly fall on the tropic of cancer on this day. 🌀 WINTER SOLISTICE :- Winter solistice occurs, when the earth tilt oposite to the sun. It does on the 22 December. The night become largest and day become shortest on this day in northern hemisphere. The sun rays directly fall on the tropic of Capricorn. 🌀Answer a -- 23.5° 🌀Answer b -- "Rotation" refers to an object's spinning motion about its own axis. "Revolution" refers the object's orbital motion around another object. For example, Earth rotates on its own axis, producing the 24-hour day. Earth revolves about the Sun, producing the 365-day. 🌀Answer c -- A earth revolute around the sun in 365 days, 6 hours, 9 minutes . Basically we are ignored 6 hours 9 minutes and we added this 6 hours for 4 years after every 4 years this 6 hours made a day, that's why in this year has 366 days and it's called leap year. 🌀Answer d -- already answered above the following answers. 🌀 Answer e -- An equinox occurs when the position of the Sun is exactly over the Equator. When this happens, the hours of day and the hours of night are about equal almost everywhere on Earth. Equinoxes take place twice a year on 21 march & 23 September. Autumn, or fall, begins with the autumnal equinox.

The earth takes 24 hours 23 days 56 min 4 sec to complete 1 Rotation The movement of earth around the sun is an elliptical path known as Revolution. The earth takes 365 days to complete 1 revolution . ✨️Ans-3 Leap year - A year with 366 days is called a leap year. Leap year is come after 4 year in which the month of February has 29 days instead of 28 days. ✨️Ans -4 Summer solstice - on 21st June the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun and the rays of the sun is directly fall on tropic of cancer of the northern hemisphere and this area recieve more heat but the rays of the sun are slightly fall on the tropic of Capricorn of the southern hemisphere so it recieve less heat . On 21st June in northern hemisphere longest days and shortest night but in southern hemisphere shortest day and longest night ✨️Winter solstice- on 22nd December the southern hemisphere is tilted around the sun and rays of the sun is directly fall on tropic of Capricorn of southern hemisphere and this area recieve more heat but the rays of the sun is slightly fall on tropic of cancer so this area recieve less heat as comparison to southern hemisphere On 22nd December in southern hemisphere longest days and shortest night and in northern hemisphere longest night and shortest day. ✨️Ans - 5 Equinox- On 21st March and 23rd September the rays of the sun is neither fall on northern or southern hemisphere. The rays of the sun is directly fall on equator so the whole earth expirence equal day and night . On 21st March the autumn season in the northern hemisphere and the spring season inthe southern hemisphere. Question1. Answer- The angle of inclination of the Earth's axis with its oribtal plane is 66degree1/2 min. Question 2. Answer- Rotation- Its means that earth moves on their axis. Rotation make in earth day and night. 1 rotation make earthday(because of 24 hours). The line that divided the day and night is called circle of inclination. Revolution- Its means that move around the sun in a year and a leap year. Revolution helps to change in the season make 4 types of seasons( summer season, winter season, autumn season, spring season). Question 3. Answer- Leap year-- We can understand the term of leap year its means a year in which 366 days occurs. Its occurs due to a simple year consist 365 days and 6 hours we generally count 365 days in a year and leave 6 hour and this 6 hours in four year make a day and a day included in a year that called Leap year. 🌀Summer solstice- Its occurs due to revolution of earth around the sun. The half part of the earth is tilt and the rays of sun come towards the tilt part of earth and sunlight produce heat in that area and the process is called Summer solstice. For example- On 21st June the east tilt part of earth face towards the sun the equator and the tropic of cancer faces the direct sunlight and sunlight produce heat their. as its maximum and the days in longest and the nights is shortest called summer solstice. Winter solstice- When earth tilt opposite towards the sun. Its happen on 22nd december in the eastern part of the earth. in this phase the night is longest and the days is shortest. Equinox- Its means that the earth over the sun and the day and night is almost equal to the earth. Its happen on the earth twice on 21st march and 23 september. For example- Northern(INDIA) hemisphere on 21st march Spring season Northern hemisphere on 23 september Autumn And....................................... Southern(AUSTRLIA) Hemisphere on 21st march Autumn season Southern(AUSTRLIA) Hemisphere on 23rd september Spring season Rate my answer Please ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mam didn't make any mistake she is actually talking about southern hemisphere when she says in winter solstice longer days and shorter nights. But with respect to northern hemisphere its long nights and short days.😊😊😊😊😊

Why do the poles experience about 6 months day and six month night????? Geography 1(g) 36:49
@ncertwithmanjumaam5253
@ncertwithmanjumaam5253 Жыл бұрын
The Poles experience about six months of day and six months of night because of the tilt of the Earth on its axis. Because of this tilt each Pole is tilted towards and away from the Sun for about six months each. When the North Pole is tilted towards the Sun it experiences continuous daylight for six months
