After you add the 2 waypoints, I notice you have the options PAN Lock and AF Lock. That's very usefull to me, but my version of the app doesn't have that. I have only the option AF < 0.0 > and WT < 1.0 > ( I can set those but don't know what they do). I've updated the app 2 days ago. What version of ZY Play do you use?

Then you don't need a gimbal. Just use a tripod and set your phone to timelapse.

I'm looking to do stop frame animation, like a claymation with this set up....is this possible to do with this device? I've purchased it, and shot a music video on it already which turned out great, but wanting to do a stop frame animation. Possible?

For stop-frame animation, I would prefer to use a regular tripod without the gimbal. Coz with every frame shot we need the camera to be still.

Hello. Watched all your other tutorials about the Smooth 4 and liked it, so I bought one :-) One question: I tried the mo-timelapse on feature iOS, but I can't rotate the gimbal left / right as shown. The Smooth always pushes back. Then I tried my Android, it worked only once, then the Gimbal also starts pushing back. Any ideas?

Have you switched to Lock mode from PF mode?

@@videolane Yes, tried both. It looks like that it only works the first time after powering up the gimbal. After I did a mo-timelapse, the gimbal no longer alows me to move the head left and right. Wierd. Thanks for your support.

Hi, I hope you can help me with a question I've got. I am looking to get a gimbal to shoot exactly the kind of timelapses you show here. However, I want to shoot the actual photos using the phone's native photo app (there is a specific feature in there that I need to use). Is it possible to programme the motion and then change so that you're shooting with the inbuilt camera app? Alternatively, would it be possible to have the phone that is taking the photos set up in the gimbal, in the phone's camera app and then use a seperate phone that is not attached to the gimbal as a kind of remote control - using it to set the start and end points like that? I hope the question makes sense, I would really appreciate any help you can give me!

The Zhiyun Smooth 4 cannot do that. I have done that on the Feiyu Vimble 2 though.

Do you have "Rapid Cam" option on your phone? "Rapid Cam" is timelapse.

Gimbals are not made for motion time lapse unless everything is moving inside the shot in a madness clip. The minimum angle of rotation is not small enough to get a soft transition like in costly pro gear (tens or hundreds of a degree), that is why it is jerky and can not be repaired in any way. Manufacturers know it but still use it as a tool to sell because most buyers do not understand, do not complain, are amateurs or use the gimbal only for what it is intended to do but...internet accepts anything. Everyday a deers goes out, whoever hunts it, owns it.
