I feel you, I just love the superduties also! Its like a disease sometimes! I love me some 7.3, 6.0, & 6.7(scared of 6.4s - they are pretty quick.....until they're not, then turn to throw-away engine)powerstroke diesels. They all have their pros and cons. I'm still in the 7.3's('00 f250 eclb zf6, had 2 others before too) as my diehard reliable work truck. Someday I'd like to get a 6.0 and a 6.7 too. These newer 6.7s are crazy powerful, its insane how much power they've gotten out of them. Anyways keep it up with the SuperDuty trucks, can't wait to see this new-to-you one get fixed up, nothing like a half price nice truck!

I would build the motor better with new and upgraded pistons, rings, rods, Ported heads, upgrades and use it forever as a heavy tow vehicle. DCR or cp4 + cp3. I’ve driven ‘24 & own a ‘17- I like the ‘17 better w/6 spd. 10 spd is too much shifting.

I’m just not into fords. They seem to break down a lot. Like I pulled a 42’ triple axle toy hauler when I was traveling for work with a 2008 2500 gmc. It had some work done and built trans but I did that for years All over the northwest states. Similar weight maybe even heavier since I had all my shit with me. My truck was lifted too. I sold that truck with just short of 300k miles It’s whole life was pulling weight Doing burnouts we raced it we did everything in it. I have no doubt it’s still driving to this day and this ford couldn’t handle a compound and towing lol. I’ll stick to gm and Cummins.

Comimg from a diesel mechanic they don't know shit, all they do is check for blow by, I've watched them rebuild a Cummins that had injector knock, if you notice sometimes they tear down engines and won't show what went wrong because there was actually nothing wrong with the internals
