"With a candle through time I could still see your ghost But I can't close my eyes, for it is there where you haunt me most" the band did such a good job of making it seem like the man in the video was haunted by the memories of the person he loved most. If I can't let you go will darkness divide? For the fiction of love is the truth of our lies We were playing for keeps, but we both knew the cost Now the only way out's in your heart shaped box But I hate that it seemed you were never enough We were broken and bleeding but never gave up And I hate that I made you the enemy And I hate that your heart was the casualty Now I hate that I need you As we rest here alone like notes on a page The finest to compose could not play our pain With a candle through time I could still see your ghost But I can't close my eyes, for it is there where you haunt me most I hate that it seemed you were never enough We were broken and bleeding but never gave up And I hope that I sing through your memory As we echo through time in the melody Now I hate that I need you And I hear you now when you said "It hurts, but it had to fall apart to work" As I see you now in what's left of me Is it too late to plead insanity? 'Cause I hate that it seemed you were never enough You were broken and bleeding in the name of love And I hope that we meet in another life I don't hate that I need you

Why are people arguing about this song not being metal? Who cares it's amazing!
@mr.j16294 жыл бұрын
I agree 100%. But weather its metal, rock, hip hop, country etc. Theres always gonna be people who argue that it isn't that genre. Like today's country music sounds more like pop music to me. When I think country music I think of the old stuff like some old Dolly, Johnny Cash, and Willie. There are people out there who would think that's not true. But I can agree that some of today's country has a few good songs by a few artists. It's also good yo open yourself up to new music. Just because you like Motionless in White and other heavier bands doesn't mean you can't like other genres. Even if it's a few songs.

That resolution into "I don’t hate that I need you" is actually really fuckin deep. Like it shows this kind of softness of a gentle heart after it burned with rage and resentment. Like if you fight with your girl and you realize how you actually feel afterward and how you go back to her and try to comfort her and speak gently to her. It's like that but he's just saying it with more energy like the way the voice in your head would be saying it, it represents that. It represents the realization and discovery of what is meaningful and the enlightenment, empathy and love that that carries with it.

I lost my dad when I was very young, I was only 6 at his funeral. Growing up without a father is hard to tell if it was for my benefits or not. As a 6 year old autistic child, I didn't understand what death was and seeing everyone cry actually confused me, as I was still indifferent to my dad's death. Fast forward another year, I understood death, and I mourn his death every day. 8 years, he's been dead for, and will make it 10 years in October next year. But I can definitely relate to this comment, as my dad wasn't on best of terms with me.

Monti Aguilar because BvB isn’t even a band anymore. They just play when an album drops and Andy is back to his solo. They barely try to write great material anymore and just use the “stay strong fight on phrases” with common solos. I wasn’t even emo ever, so my opinion was clear, I loved We stitch these wounds as an album. Set the world on Fire was a fine album as well, wish they put time into the project in all honesty. Motionless has had heavy member changes but get better each cycle. Love what they are putting out.

When someone dies it’s traditional to wear a black suit. So it makes complete sense.

This song is just so powerful. A lot of ppl r saying they've heard it for the first time during a difficult point if their life. I feel that. Now I can't listen to this without crying

This song gives me chills every time. When he sings acapella in between guitar riffs you can feel his pain. It is enough to make a grown man tear up.
