I don't think people know how hard it is to get an extra 10th of a mile faster once you get into the low 10's and high 9's.. Once these guys get into the low 8's it is a fight for every tenth of a mile faster.. And anything can affect it!! Oil down the track, temps, bad clean up on the tracks, shyt sea level plays into it.. These guys are fighting for every 10 of a second.. Shyt 100th's of seconds!! Once you have an 8 second car the cost to get to low 7's could be a 100K and 4 blown motor's and 3 built trans just to get there!!
