Wow, best video I've ever seen you guys do! I was as impressed by the production and editing as I was by the flying. Great stuff!

After setting up the flaperons I have had about 40 successful landings without flipping it over. I attribute the good landings to the the flaps slowing the Ultimate down and the grass being a bit shorter now. The larger wheels have helped as well (of course). Thanks for your insights.

Yes, you are correct... this is why we show the model doing many maneuvers, If you watch the Build Guide for the model, you will note that we show you how we configured the model to perform 3D "better" for the 3D Pilot, We changed the prop, CG, and Throws for 3D flight. This is clearly outlined in the Build Guide....

If you check out the Build Guide, we did use a 8 X 3.8 prop for the 3D flying

Nice flying and video. She really looked like a handful flying slow. Sounds like its really screaming. Maybe a bigger less pitch prop for the slow and low? Good looking plane.

You could try it... but use very little flap travel to start with and try it at high altitude first at a slow speed.... the problem with flaperons is that when you need to use your ailerons in a turn with flaps extended, you end up getting MORE flap on the upward wing and less flap on the downward wing causing a stall on the downward wing to occur first... it makes for a nice low altitude spin entry:)

I've been wanting that ultimate for a while. I'm a long way off from that. It will probably be next year as I am starting a project. I am going to be buying $125-135 worth of parts every month of the FMS 1450mm P-51B until I get it complete. I just got a new Tactic TTX650 TX and I'm really wanting to advance up to flaps and retracts. My next plane i will have complete is the RocHobby F-16. It looks like a good step up from my A-10. Oh man, I think I've got the bug. LOL.

We used several, from 3s to 4s packs... If you watch the sepearte Build Guide for this plane, scroll towards the end, I show all the batteries used in the plane for this video...

Great demo, do you think that the flaperons would work on the FW Ultimate? I fly mine off taller grass and even after installing larger 65mm wheels it flips over on landing. I believe it is because it simply lands very fast. Perhaps the flaperons would allow it to slow down and not have as much energy when the gear hits the grass...what do you think?

Nice flying men...how does this plane fly in a sport flying mode or slower pace?

what were you using for a battery in this video? awesome flying btw !

that is a skilled 3d pilot. any "normal" pilot would not be able to to upright harriers. although 3d looks possible to a highly skilled pilot, this is clearly not a 3d plane

Can you just bind it to any transmitter?

hi rich,i'm having an issue ,i took out the 18 amp esc out of my ares gamma, and put in a 40 amp esc out of my old acro wot,it only had about 3 flights on it when i installed it into the gamma,i'm running the 370 brushless ares motor, and the 40 amp esc is getting pretty hot,any ideas? thank you.,i'm just thinking if the 18 amp could handle it then the 40 amp should not even get warm, right?
