Merry Xmas and happy New year from little New Zealand. Assembling this model over the holidays break here in New Zealand,. Having a headache mounting my engine,. I'm using a RCGF15RE,. Front of drive wisher of engine has ended up being at 140mm (5.5") as said in the instructional video,. I also had to raise the centre line of my motor 13mm (0.5") above the crosshair marked on the fire wall. I also opened up bottom of the cowl mount,. Bottom of fire wall, and opened up the front of the cowl to give a more scale look,. And a lot more better cooling. They are a fantastic ARF,. Considering the little price payed for them,. But you do need to look hard at the model and use some clever judgement of your own,. Only page of any use in the manual is the last page,. CG and control throws,. Pretty much throw the manual away and measure, measure, measure. Good luck guys. Enjoy your build

For the hinges I like to use plain chap stick drag it across your pin section gently heat it with heat gun just to melt it through to the pin and other side works like a charm

Hi, well mounting the motor you didn't read the manunal well, see page11. It is mentioned -Push the four 5x70mm bolts through the fire-wall. And if you look in manual they mounted the motor on drawing higher from the beginning. Grts Hans

Manual also says to mount drive plate of motor,. Both electric and IC engines at a distance of 121mm,. I can't push my cowl on any closer than to enable me to mount my engine any closer than 140mm. Manual is way out

Ive assembled the nexa tiger moth and the p47 and the f6f so far. All go together about the same. Except the p40 has pin hinges the others have nylon hinges but they are no problem at all. My next one will be the T34

Fantastic video with good clear instructions. I think I might be getting this plane as it looks like a good stable flyer. I'm just wondering about it's slow flight characteristics. Can it be flown fairly slowly without a stall?

I still need more flights on her, but will have a flight video tomorrow and then more to come in a few weeks.

PLEASE, need some help! Can someone tell me how your guys at Motion were able to fit a MAS 15x7 3-blade prop on this airplane using the GP10 motor? The prop shaft adapter is WAY too short to accommodate the thickness of the prop hub. Best I can do is get a 14x7 to fit and that is only by not using the prop washer and still only having a few shaft threads...not enough threads to even go all the way through the nut. I'm not comfortable flying this beautiful bird without a better prop fit. Thanks!

It's better to lengthen wires from motor to speed control as needed. Lengthening wires from speed control to motor battery can damage speed control capacitors over time due to voltage spikes.
