Having ARFID sucks. Both my granddaughter and I have it. The little girl Hannah portrays it perfectly. Often all it takes is someone commenting on a safe food, or picking on what we’re eating and it makes us totally nauseated. The other problem is that we can be craving a certain food, and when we get it, all of a sudden it makes us feel sick. It’s a really hard way to live. We mostly survive on meal replacement shakes because those seem to be fine no matter what, but they have to be chocolate, all other flavors are nauseating. Most people just think we’re picky eaters, but it goes way beyond that. I appreciate Dhar Mann so much for telling stories about obscure syndromes that most people have never heard of. If you read this Dhar, could you do a story on Ehlers Danlos Syndrome please. Most people have never heard of it and think we’re clumsy, or seeking attention or drugs because our joints dislocate at will. I will often wake up to find out my knee or hip is dislocated. I’ve had hundreds of dislocations for no reason at all. I’ve had ER drs accuse me of doing it on purpose to get drugs and/or attention, it sucks.

Or do jobs like mowing neighbors lawns, raking leaves and or babysitting for friend and relatives and saving their money to buy the things they want. saving their money to buy their first cars or go to the prom.
