I was born with many learning disabilities including dyslexia, ADD, dysgraphia, and Tourette's syndrome. I was a class clown who was constantly looked down on by my peers, coaches, teachers, and even family. I had a dream to go to one of the best universities in the United States. When I told people that I wanted to go there, they would tell me to aim lower, or laugh at me. Not a soul on earth believed in me. I went to a junior college with a plan to achieve my dream. Every night I would study for hours on end with a plan in mind to achieve my dream. I was fueled by all the people that told me I couldn't do it. After three years of doing everything I could to achieve my dream, I was able to transfer into my dream school with a 3.9 GPA, and I graduated magna cum laude. Nobody believed in me, and I achieved what was considered to be beyond my ability. My weaknesses are now strengths because of past failures. Never give up on your dreams. Never quit and don't be afraid of failure. You can do anything you want if you believe in yourself.

I had a good friend, Matt, growing up through high school. He was a bright kid, did well on tests and stuff. But his parents, who were wealthy, kept giving him everything. He never had to work during the summers (which is common here in the States). Anytime he needed anything, they handed him wads of cash. Anytime he made a mistake they bailed him out, never held him accountable. Over time he just lost all motivation. It hurts me to write this, but - here he is 34 years old, and he still hasn’t finished a college degree and literally lives in his parents’ basement. So much wasted potential already. Spoiling a kid is the worst thing a parent can do.

Taking summer classes, working often and studying for the gmat at the moment. Next semester, my last semester, may be my last shot at PwC. Taking 5 courses next semester and my internship ends in December, which is great! It's just, man the struggle seems endless and my goals seem unreachable. Whenever I set a goal, there's always that huge setback in the beginning. Thank you guys so much for your support and I wish you all the best upon your future endeavors!!!!

Also I found medical entrance quite tough for me.I know these are all solely my mistakes and I take responsibility, guilty about it. Fourth attempt in 2021 - I am half prepared because those habit again distracted me plus this time I had financial issues as well. My parents are heartbroken by my results. After 13 days I have my exam and I know I didn't reach up to the mark but I improved a lot. I am going to give my 5th attempt in next 8 months..and I will score 675/720 and will get VMMC Delhi India. Now my score range is 400/720...which used to be 180 in 2018. I will make it and I won't stop there. My ultimate goal is Harvard university. May be as a student or professor. As I’m reading and it gets to the one about the 11 year old with the growth hormone deficiency, I’m thinking “no way this book linked me to something about Messi” and sure enough it said his name and I broke down in tears because Messi just won the World Cup for Argentina and it was also his last year with the team. He didn’t give up on Argentina despite the past years and it truly hit me in my feels how even today he is still winning. He has 10 La Liga titles, 7 Copa del Rey titles, 4 UEFA Champions Leagues. He won the 2021 Copa América and the 2022 FIFA World Cup! This gives me so much hope and inspiration.

bombed my freshman year, left recently in the middle of sophmore year to do online school, and just found out I have to redo most of what I did on online school. No way a college is going to accept me with all of these shit grades, there goes all of my dreams down the drain...ultimate failure right here.

You can make It. No failure is fatal, no matter how big it might be. Keep studying, keep fighting and keep moving forward. Always think about the next step, not the last one. Godspeed and good luck for you.

I think this is a wonderful video, and I really appreciate how it normalizes failures as well as pushing through life no matter what others say. I think that perseverance and not caring too much about what others say or think of you, is a very important trait that many adults don’t know, and children never learn. I found the story of Albert Einstein to be especially inspiring. It’s crazy to think that a child who was considered to be less intelligent than the other children, and who didn’t learn to speak until years after other children his age, went on to be known as one of the most intelligent people to have ever lived. He earned a Nobel Prize for Physics, expanded upon numerous theories, and even created his own! The story of Albert Einstein should be a sign for all of us to never give up, no matter what others think of us. In the end, all that matters is what we believe of ourselves, and what we believe we can do. I do not have many stories about feeling as though I cannot do something just because someone else has told me I couldn’t, however, I often struggle with feeling as though I cannot do something because I have told myself that I cannot. However, one of the things I have learned is that the best way to push through this feeling is to simply try to accomplish whatever I see as a hard, impossible task. In this way, I rarely fail myself. While it is true that we can do anything we put out mind to, it’s also okay to ask for help when we need it! We are only humans, we are not superheroes, and we do not need to deal with every one of life’s troubles by ourselves. If you are going thorough something and need help, please don’t be afraid to ask!

Praveen Kumar well....I want HR and hence I want to do a mba in hr n ma in hr(human resources)....I have done a detailed psychological research ( I am a psychology student from delhi university) about the lack of hr department in police department and as to how it can solved and also I have done internship in a HR firm.....I don't want to open a business....I am not interested....I want to learn the intricacy of HR department and I can only do that with a mba in hr and hence, I applied to colleges which gives hr.... well, I might do civil service exam someday...who knows I am only 21...if I crack civils, I would like to introduce appraisal system of IAS N IFS which can be accessed by others among various things...I can go on on about the administration system n how we can change it practically....such kind of administration ideas can be made more practical n more effective with knowledge from MBA.... in other words, MBA aint restricted to opening business.....maybe its to be a financial analyst, be a marketing analyst and most importantly, cooperates hire people with mba....or you open your business with or without a mba....having your own business is a part of MBA. Also it can be an essential platform for people who have no business background. FYI: people who comment about other's close-minded mentality are often close-minded themselves since they lack the empathy to understand In other's shoes...though, I agree you don't need a mba degree for a successful business...

Praveen Kumar no but things that would otherwise require you to learn over the course of many years of mistakes due to lack of knowledge that the people you work with already have could potentially cost you some good years.

+Valansch Yeah. I don't go but I cannot explain it, I'll go if my future isn't set. If I went alongside doing my projects I'd be completely burnt out and not be able to do either of them. I tried and I had to choose school. But I hope I made the right choice in leaving it for a year. I'm 18 and can still go until I'm 21. I'll go for grade 12 next year if nothing happens in my venture this year. I'm smart enough, just need to learn on the internet if I can. If possible I hope that the company or director would consider making my web series into a feature film. I hope the bands that let me use their music will share what I made. They're not as big, the biggest has like 20k or so fans. But their music fits my web series so well.

The fanatical Sammy Yeah I agree. A piece of paper shouldn't determine that you are smart. What if someone lived somewhere else where there was no school or the education was very low? (Like mine) And you went to apply for a job and did well out of everyone, oh but one thing! They have a diploma. A piece of paper. Bad enough we got paper controlling our lives as it is.

True motivation. Failure should be a part of life, not it is necessary to fail. But you can learn from it. Try better ideas and then make more good decisions.
