With only 14 days to go until show time as of the shooting of this video, we're pushing it to get this Saleen done for the World of Wheels in Birmingham, AL. How will this all turn out. There's paint and body work, interior panel overhauling like dash replacement and dying, and a supercharger install. Oh, and we also have to put all the decals on.
This car will be a part of the World of Wheels Saleen display with 40+ other Saleen's.
1990 Saleen 193 was a Saleen sold by Bleakley Ford and the first owner bought the Bleakley Impressor package with the Paxton Supercharger. It was a huge deal back in 1990 to drive out of a dealership with a car that was already modified making good power for its day. We are working to bring it back to its former glory with its original outfit of parts on it. The car came equipped with a B303 Ford Motorsport cam, 1.72 Ford Motorsport roller rockers, chrome valve covers, Ford Motorsport 65mm throttle body, Ford Motorsport 67mm EGR spacer, stainless 1 5/8" Ford motorsport (or JBA) headers, 2.25" Ford Motorsport off road H pipe, and a Paxton SN89 Supercharger on it. It still has the cam, rockers, valve covers, and headers.

Coming along nicely. 2 questions -- what event is upcoming? And, what have you got to do ecu/tune-wise when you put the supercharger back on?

The event is the World of Wheels in Birmingham. Some details in the description. No tune right away. I’ll be careful with it. Using an FMU. I actually found the original holes from when the FMU was installed by the dealer. It will get a tune in the next year or so.

"Sometimes It Takes A Due Date...." To me the most important word in the title is "Sometimes". Sometimes, the due date helps, no doubt. Other times, a due date can lead to arbitrarily hurrying through something, sometimes generating a result that is sub-optimal. Again the word 'sometimes' rears its head. Humans are uniquely qualified to make the subjective judgments needed to successfully navigate a world increasingly filled with "sometimes" choices that need to be made. Sometimes. ;)

It’s already been serviced. I would recommend these guys. www.cundnracing.com They recently serviced Marks Paxton on his 92 Saleen.

Yeah.. Relic for sure. Basically the same design as what was used in the Shelby’s and others in the 60’s. that design dates back to before WWII. McCulloch designed and engineered it. The design is almost 100 years old. 😳
