I was actually discussing this same and exact matter with my mother yesterday and I found a video on internet also. I was also working on why ppl of Pakistan think so differently when it comes to the comparison with other nations in West. I and my mother discussing in the same way and she told me at the end that this was the exact reason why she never talked to me about any trouble she faced.

Solution to this problem is Islamic education system You see if we properly learn , understand and implement Islam then these things won’t happen. What does islam teaches us ; Bring simplicity in lives , limit your desires , be grateful for what you have , seek Allah’s protection from evil and seek His help and remain patient. If parents live a simple life and be grateful to what they have, children will develop confident How much emphasis Islam has given to “ relatives “ only if we imply in our lives .. our dear mother always talked nice and good about our father and his brothers , after our father’s death , she always taught us to obey and respect our “ chachas “ , I don’t remember her ever praising her own brothers and sisters as much as she praised our dad’s brothers ( unfortunately we don’t have pupos but I always wish if I had one ) My mother was very patient lady so even if her in laws did something wrong she will tolerate it and not pass on to us … We need to learn to forgive each other that includes our in laws as well . we need to understand that at the end of the day we all are human beings and can make mistakes. And always remember that it’s the shaaytan who creates waswasa and tries to break relations … The most beloved thing to shaaytan is creating fisaad between husband and wife . So you see understanding Islam and following it correctly will eliminate all these issues
