Wish I could run E85 in my R33. But sadly it's not really available here in the UK. You can order it online but it's expensive af and it's not exactly sustainable if you drive your car a fair bit.
@Tryptamine9993 жыл бұрын
That's why flex fuel can be so convieniant, if you do any racing with your GTR if you can afford a barrel of E85 you fill the tank for the race and any other time you drive it just run pump fuel, I got no idea how expensive E85 is in the UK but I think it's 100% worth it
@truuuupR3 жыл бұрын
@@Tryptamine999 I don't race my GTR personally. I'd love to run E85 on a special occasion but yeah, you'd have to be pretty serious about it with a fair whack of cash to fund it over here. A quick search for barrels/drums of E85 here in the UK is just short of £1,000 ($1390 USD / $1,885 Aus dollar) for 208 litres. R33 tank is 65 litres. So just over 3 full fill ups. So around £330 ($450 US/ $620 aus) a tank. An average fill up around by me with the 99octane fuel is (at a guess from memory) about £75 ($104 US / $140 Aus). So it's over 4x the price of a normal fill up at the pumps. I ain't got that kinda money to throw about every few months sadly :(

Here in my country 10-60 is used for racing (rally racing) and works great because of the beating it takes and withstands, lower grade oils (example 10-40) looses too much viscosity and pressure drops too much when hot damaging friction surfaces. 10-60 will not have that problem, however... 10-60 for a mostly street driven (mildly driven) car can rob you a small amount of power (fuel efficiency) because you wont be able to heat it up that much and its higher viscosity tends to slow down moving parts inside. So application is what really matters. A 5-50 or 5-60 would also be very interesting as the "5" would help oil get to all friction surfaces quicker when the engine is cold, preventing wear.

If your Hicas is in great condition it helps quite a bit, combine that with boost by gear and it is way better than anything else.
