I have to disagree. Mick is a very highly regarded and esteemed guitarist. He has been on the front cover of "Guitar", "Guitar World", "Vintage Guitar" and numerous other publications far too often to be considered underrated. That word gets thrown out there with everyone... it loses its potency.

The Crue remains at the top of my list of favorite bands EVER! I am a child of the 70s & 80s myself and I first learned about Motley when my older stepbrother moved back home to live with us again from his bio Dad's place in San Bernardino, CA near L.A. When he arrived he had 3 cassette tapes with him - "Metal Health" by Quiet Riot, "Out of the Cellar" by RATT and "Shout at the Devil" by the Crue from 1983...needless to say, I have been a huge fan of this music ever since. I first saw them play live in 85 during their Theatre of Pain tour with Autograph opening for them. "Home Sweet Home" is still my favorite song overall, I think. Excellent recommendation, my friend. Peace! #Crue4Life

Watch their last concert in at the staples center ...they rock!!! Amazing production!!! One of the best live concerts I’ve seen. The fact that Mick Mars - with one guitar -can produce a “wall of sound” is quite simply amazing....granted he uses background tracking but nonetheless.....he does it live with such style and control....in spite of suffering from an incurable and crippling bone disease in his spine..........Jesus!!! Huge amounts of respect!!! Great band!!! Keep up the reaction videos brother Jamal!!! It takes an open mind....and you deserve our gratitude!!!

Now that you've found yourself on the "Wild Side", it's time to go down the Motley Crue rabbit hole, Jamel! Looks that Kill, Shout at the Devil, Live Wire, Too Fast for Love, Too Young to Fall In Love, Home Sweet Home, Smokin' in the Boys Room, Dr. Feelgood ... there are TONS of Crue songs to react to! Also, that was the iconic comedian Sam Kinison driving the limo at the beginning. He was well known among 80s rockers and a friend to many of them. You need to check out his video for "Wild Thing" ... Crue makes an appearance, as does Aerosmith and many others. Oh and the main attraction - Jessica Hahn!

A good read - "The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star" written by Nikki Sixx & Ian Griffiths, chronicles Motley Crue & Sixx from Christmas 1986 through Christmas 1987. It delves deep into Sixx's addiction and depression problems. Sixx "died" of a heroin overdose, but was saved. He's still an "addict" but is drug free.

They got the title of the song from Nikki Sixx's experience but the song is about the adrenaline rush from all the things they mention in the song. Top fuel funny cars, skydiving naked, a lady with a body from outer space...yep...that'll kickstart your heart.

When this LP came out, Vince Neil came and sat with me for two hours during my radio show in Dallas. No interview, just wanted to chat. And I couldn’t mention he was there until he was gone. Gave me front row seats and backstage passes. The day of the show, my daughter got chicken pox. I missed it...but partied with them a couple times since. Everyone but Vince, darn it.
