What is with all of these comparisons of Motley with Aerosmith?? Anyone that knows SHIT about Motley knows that Steven Tyler is Nikki Sixx's HERO. To say that Motley Crue is influenced by Aerosmith would be an understatement. The white top-coat with black polka-dots that Nikki wore on the Theatre of Pain tour was exactly like one that Tyler wore on stage a LOT in the 70s. But if you ask me, they are two entirely different styles of music. My first serious girlfriend introduced me to Motley Crue BEFORE Shout at the Devil was released and they have been my favorite band ever since. I went so far as to get a barbed-wire tatt just like Vince's. Except when he had the banner and lower wire added as a tribute to he and Sharise's daughter that passed away (R.I.P. Skylar), I didn't...that part is theirs. Anyway, Motley has rocked as hard and almost as long as any band in American history. Gonna be a real drag not seeing any more Motley Crue World Tours. ROCK ON EVERYONE!!! \m/....\m/

Steven Tyler is a better lead singer than Vince Neil, and Aerosmith is one of the few music groups that is better than Motley Crue. Motley Crue would actually probably agree with me. Compare their album cover for Girls, Girls, Girls with the album cover for Get Your Wings by Aerosmith. Motley Crue was clearly influenced by Aerosmith along with the Rolling Stones, who were also better than Motley Crue.
