He did the band and America proud being the true front man he was! The audience was really into the music too! This was one time when the political walls came down for both our countries. Motley Crue were ambassadors of good will and did themselves proud. Music is a universal language for peace in any country. I'm proud to be an American when I see something like this! How is it at the live shows when Mick goes into a lead the rhythm or bottom drops out, when in the studio version you hear both the lead and rhythm playing as if there are two guitarists and not one? I know live it sounds like the Nikki Sixx the bassist is playing the rhythm albeit bass part.
@EdoggCentral6 жыл бұрын
When they recorded it in 1983, they recorded multiple tracks. Then they mixed them. They can track Mick's rhythm guitar in the solo as many times as Mick wants to. Then they mix the solo in over the top. Nowadays, with all of the technology they use, they loop everything in with Pro Tools. You can record the verse tracks once and loop them through for however many verses are in the song and so on.
@NZ926736 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I've noticed Van Halen never does what bands like Motley Crue do, recording multiple tracks and then mixing them. When Eddie Van Halen does a solo, the bottom drops out where you just hear the bass as the rhythm guitar from Michael Anthony. You know like that boom boom boom sound. I also remember Over Kill used to have one guitar player and after when he would go into a lead at live shows and the bottom drops out, they decided they wanted two guitar players.
@EdoggCentral6 жыл бұрын
Eddie liked to record it that way so they can reproduce it live in a concert setting and it would sound exactly like the record live.
@EdoggCentral6 жыл бұрын
Van Halen started doing layered tracking from Diver Down onward. Fair Warning on back to their first record were recorded live so minimal mixing was done because they single tracked everything.
