Thank you for reviewing this budget phone Kevin! I actually got this phone for free on T-Mobile and I'm loving it so far. I think it has a Micro USB cable because the consumers who might buy this device, like myself, already have plenty of Micro USB cables from past budget devices.

Purchased my Moto e6 phone yesterday at the Metro store. Luckily, it was on sale for $89.99. (Given the competition, it wouldn't be such a good value at the $150 list price. However, most people won't pay that much, and new customers may get it for free.)

Can't beat the Moto E series for the price. Does everything I need at a fraction of the cost of high end phones. I can think of much better things to spend $1000 on.

I JUST got this lastnight for FREE with switch over! Pros: 1. The Speaker is loud - Front facing too. 2. MIDI Support (for me that's awesome to see in the USB Connection options) 3. 18.9 Aspect Ratio (I HAD NO IDEA) 4. Moto Actions (very cool feature) 5. Viewing angles are very very good 6. Yes, it has giant Bezels but its very compact for me to ride my bike and thumb around the UI. 7. Android 9 Pie ("Android V.I.P." in the words of #flossycarter) 8. USB-OTG (my last phone did not have it) 9. Selectable Bluetooth aptiX codecs in Developer Options 10. Adjustable PPI in Developer Options 11. 5G WiFi and Hotspot AP Band 12. Stereo Video Audio and so on..... Cons: 1. No Fingerprint Sensor 2. MicroUSB 3. No VR Support

By the way, you have a great voice, Kevin. Better than MANY of those on radio & TV! Regretfully, my ZTE blade was ripped off yesterday, and I know who the culprit was... feeling violated! So I tooled down to my local Metro PCS store and asked about budget phones, as I'm on a 'fixed income'. Long story short, I ended up purchasing the Moto e6. Like you, I appreciate the keyboard which has a nice tactile feel. Also the display is sharp and colors seem great.

Some of these folks seem spoiled! What do they need in a phone that e6 can't provide? I just need Twitter, Instagram, I don't need to be able to change battery but I do need a good camera to list stuff on Mercari

The phone does have facial recognition. Under security in the settings click on Smart Lock.

I'm watching this video on my moto e6 (Trac fone) and I like it. I bought it at the local drug store for $ 25.00 (it was on sale) And it's been a good one so far. It does have a tendency to switch from 4g lte to 3g and then back. Sometimes I'll just do a restart and then it's back to 4g lte. Like my Hyundai, it's hanging in there with me so I'm not going to worry about any little quirks.

The only problem I see with the E6 why did he downgrade the battery from 4000 Milliamps to 3000 I think I would choose the Moto E 5 has 4000 milliamp battery life and the price is at great price on eBay I seen Moto E5 unlocked version ranging at $ 120.00- $ 140. 00

That's a downgrade from the Moto E5 lmao, even some varients of the E5 play had fingerprint scanners and this, the standard e6 doesn't? Come on Motorola. Also the camera placement looks like an htc desire from 2016

That's the retail price for Metro. At the moment, the phone is only available at Metro and Verizon, so it might be cheaper when the unlocked version comes out.
