Just bought this at best buy. LOVE IT! Your review was spot on! Dope camera, super smooth and fast, newest processor, highest refresh rate, etc! $799, currently discounted to $699, but boost mobile is advertising it for $399 🤯. I didn't buy from them b/c I don't trust it because the Motorola website doesn't list it as a compatible carrier (plus best buy gave me an additional $100 off and $250 trade in credit, so I paid $350 plus tax but I had to trade in my OnePlus). However, if you do trust boost, that could be a good deal (amazing deal honestly). Boost came out to be $399 + $40 (plan activation) + tax; $480 ish. Just sharing good info. Thanks for the review! My ONLY complaint is that notifications turn on the screen (I just prefer it to vibrate)! You can disable this, but then you can have an always on display lock. Ugh!

You're not going to get a flagship for such a low price. This is the closest you'll get to a pixel in terms of stock android. Besides the Sony Xperia 1 V, this is the best smartphone on the market so far.

Outstanding review, Fam! One thing stopping me from grabbing the Motorola Edge+ 2023 is that I have no significant gripes about my Edge+ 2022. And I'm kind of glad these Edge+ devices get slept on because they then get deeply discounted, which only improves their already excellent value proposition. One thing the other major brands get wrong is the high pricing on their flagship phones. I bet very few who like having a flagship necessarily want to keep for more the 2-3 years because by then it will certainly become outdated. Having a lower-priced phone with flagship specs and features like the Edge+ makes it easier to keep up with the flagships without paying their premium prices. You'll also stress far less over a phone you payed $500 or less for vs. twice that or more.

Can always count on a crucial video from Pristine, whenever you need it. Was moments away from pulling the trigger on a 2024 edge. Checked a few comments on 2024 edge videos and kept seeing people say the Edge plus 2023 is better. 512gb storage, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Slaughters the 7s Gen 2 in the 2024. Found a few on ebay priced around 350. Planning to pick one up in a week.

I have both, and edge+23 is a bit of a disappointment. The clarity is great, vocals and the mids shine, but the emphasis on the bass is nearly non-existent. When listening to modern music, the sounds are a bit lackluster since I can't seem to pick up on details on the lower-end. The stereo orientation of the speakers sound more balanced, though.

Yep I'm on 2nd V60 2nd one I bought for $200 open box new 2 years ago going strong but I don't take a lot of pictures and I love the specs on this screen. I think I'll get this Motorola within 6 to 12 months when the price drops further.

I'm definitely going to upgrade to this from the 2022 version I'm using and still quite enjoying honestly, their software support is the worst but boy does Motorola make some underrated bad ass phones that I can almost look past the software issues. I want to hold on to my Edge 2022 for the rest of the year but this new one seems like a big upgrade.

Pretty good video, however, you are 100% objectively wrong during one section of your video. The moto edge+ has high quality sensors themselves for the camera, and for what they are, but not only are they not comparable to something like the pixel 7/8 pro, they are not even on the same plane of EXISTENCE as the S23 Ultra. Just factually, they aren't even on the same level, and that's just the way it is, no matter what you wanna claim your opinion. Now, if you take the Pixel 8 pro, S23 Ultra, and Moto Edge+, and have them all take a barebones basic 1x level of zoom in a 4:3 format, in bright but neutral lighting, then yeah... the pictures will all be pretty comparable and have some amount of personal taste involved with the color/saturation, sharpness/softness, and post processing of the images. But outside those perfect conditions/lighting, and at ANY level of zoom the Moto will lag behind quite noticeably, and this goes DOUBLE when comparing to the Samsung device. Especially when it comes to zoom capabilities and clarity. Everything else about the edge+ is excellent, though. And the camera definitely isn't BAD. In will lit areas at 1x zoom or 2x portrait, it's rather quite nice. There is literally only 3 things that stop this phone from being a perfect 100. The screen resolution/pixel density, the lack of usable optical zoom functionality, and only 8gb or RAM. But for only $599 it's understandable to have a few sacrifices for the amount of tech this thing packs for its price. Probably the best bang for your buck phone currently available. For people who aren't power users or enthusiasts, that would benefit the most from those extra features. They can essentially get to experience flagship level hardware if they don't mind/need those few missing features. And at only half the price. One place that I think the edge+ really excels compared to other devices, regardless of any prices, is the battery. The battery is up here with very top devices when it comes to battery life. Night and day compared to pixel devices, and I think battery life is towards the top of the list, and something that can make or break a purchase based solely on that aspect alone. A phone with all best, latest and greatest features and specs is pretty useless if you have to constantly carry a charger and be plugged in.

Fingerprint sensor on pixels have improved greatly. I’m definitely excited by this device tho, my only concern is does it have the AI capapabilities of the pixel tho? The speech to text and screening of calls is hard to live without.

I'm new to the channel and I do appreciate and like the review. The only drawback is no SD card expansion and no head phone jack. This phone is the best flagship device for the value. If you really think about it, it's probably the best phone on the market in terms of overall performance. It's refined, beautiful and has 512 GB of storage all for 699 99 currently. That's less than one plus 11, galaxy s23 , s23 plus, pixel 7 pro am others. This is a sleeper and Moto created an almost perfect smartphone. Great review

The Original Edge was fire, it gave me reception issues (my other phones never had that issue) and would overheat then reboot. Got another through a warranty, same thing. I’m dubious of this one but I want so bad to like it for some reason. Kind of like that girl that’s not as cute but somehow she’s kind of sexy…

The main camera and the ultra wide camera are very good. I have problems with the 2X camera. And it will be better if Motorola gets into the periscope zoom if they really want to compete. The 2X optical zoom is no longer necessary because you can actually get an in-sensor digital zoom that looks like optical.

Pictures are good nothing special i only post to social media so not that big of a deal. I know theirs a gcam out their. Pros far outweigh that one con. For 400 was a no brainer. do it.

But the lady working didn't charge me the $50 a month plan literally out the door at $375. I think she just hooked me up. But even at $450 which I was planning is a steal. Unlock code on eBay is $6 within 5 mins got code put my att sim in asked for unlock code and boom. Good to go.

Now that the phone has been out about 6 months there are deals to be had! I found an open box (like new) from Best Buy for only $450! It was new and not a scratch and perfect! This is an amazing phone! I have battled with an older Moto One Action for 3 years and this is just a life changer for me. And how it now lets you connect the USB cable to your old phone and can pull over all of the apps, settings, and data? Was so easy! I should be able to use this for another 3+ years easy. I bought a nice flip case for it as well as a glass screen protector.

I'm on Verizon and mainly only use fully unlocked phones. I ordered a Motorola Edge+ 2023 today with some tempered glass screen protectors and a couple of cases as well. All I have to do o swap my existing sim card to new phone transfer my apps over and everything is good. Currently using a fully unlocked Samsung Galaxy a54 but it's too slow for me. Motorola Edge+ 2023 has the same processor as the Samsung Galaxy S23 series of phones and the OnePlus 11 as well. I loke the clean pure stock Android experience with the Motorola compared to Samsung Galaxy phones which get laggy fast in a year or 2 because of Samsung's own heavy UI skin on top of the android ui already there slowing the phone down faster then any other phone. iPhone don't get laggy hardly at all not unless it's 7-8 years old and not receiving software updates anymore. With the Motorola Edge+ 2023 i will not have any lagg in the phone at all because of the pure near stock android ui experience.

Don't blame you a bit for leaving them. In general they're all money, money, money,money. I used to be with Sprint, decades ago. And looking back I cannot believe the money I was spending monthly for very basic service. When you think about how many people have phones, they are just raking in the bucks. I'm with a Pixel 3XL still. And thinking about going back to Motorola. My last Motorola was the Moto x pure. I'm a big front facing stereo speaker guy.

First off, you're right LG is missed. They had a whole bunch of features that after they close their mobile brand other manufacturers took their ideas. Also, I think back in the mid '90s if you watched Simpsons of course that might show how old I am, it was pretty much a thing about people that liked iPhone stuff I think they called it mapple and not Apple. But even back then pointed out about how people just kind of almost make it like a cult thing and don't care if the phone's all look the same and don't innovate much they just buy it. I got my Motorola edge earlier this week, 2023 plus of course. Everything on it is fantastic except my call quality. If I'm going down the road in my truck I need to put the phone on speakerphone mode to talk to somebody. If I go and I have the phone just on The handset speaker no one can hear me it seems like voice cancellation decides to omit my voice as background. And I found other complaints of similar issues in about the same situations. Also if the background is too noisy anywhere I am same thing happens I have to put it on loudspeaker. I was wondering if you had this happen with you and if you had any workarounds?

The Netflix issue is the app doesn't support HDR10 on this device. Otherwise it works just fine, Netflix just needs to update the app to support.

I'm very intrigued with this Moto Edge Plus, but no way this phone's camera goes toe to toe with the Pixel 8 Pro. The Pixel's camera is competing with the big dogs, Galaxy Ultras, and Pro Max of the world. I see Motorola's current cameras competing with the OnePlus, Nothing Phones, and Samsung's mid-range phones. I hope next year's model improves on their camera game, because really that is all it needs, besides Motorola being more consistent with their monthly security updates and software updates.

Oh for sure. This video was made well before the pixel 8 or 8 pro dropped so I was comparing it to the 7 series pixels. I've had several moto devices and was always pleased with how well the camera performed against the heavy hitters. Overall this is a great device and excellent value for the money.
