Nice look at the Moto G Play 2024. Would you say the overall performance(the processor) is better in this phone or the Samsung A15 5g? The A15 has a better screen and doesn’t have stereo speakers like this phone but I’m interested in which performs better.

Performance is similar. The A15 has better cameras and 5G, but in almost everything else, the Moto G Play 2024 is just as good or better.

I bought this phone at Walmart for $40 brand new and I do not regret it my phone I had was stolen and this was the cheapest phone they had in currently and for $40 I was expecting some super slow phone and I was genuinely surprised when the phone was just as responsive as my old phone

Okay, so my current phone is actually the moto g play 2024 and I've had no issues with it so far. I would also like to mention that I got this for about $40 from Walmart brand new. So, everything is amazing. This is definitely an underrated phone for its price. Btw, I love your videos!

Hey, can you figure out how to screencast it? I've been playing a Nintendo emulator and I REALLY want to put it onto my TV I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a Chromecast if it's not going to do what I want it to do. I have a type c to HDMI adapter and not even that worked.

Are you able to screencast? I just got the phone today for $40 at Walmart after my last one crapped the bed. The last one didn't support the feature at all. But I see on this one, it does. But whenever I try to connect to my Roku, it won't even begin to search for anything. I have a type-c to HDMI adapter, unfortunately it's not working. It's a brand new cable, so I know it's not the cables fault. Just curious. I have a Roku, that's what I'm trying to connect it too. If it connects to a Chromecast and you can screen mirror too it. I guess I'll spend another $40 to play my Nintendo 64 games on a TV.

Love this phone, was debating between A15 and this but I found this way WAY cheaper and I'd like to try something new (never had a Motorola) and its only meant to be a phone for videos and etc not for daily so I think its a great bargain (especially for the price I found it in) Also, I just love the Motorolla default wallpaper in the dark mode lol🔥🔥🔥

I have this phone and I'm using it now. I've been with iPhone for a while. I'm actually loving the phone so far. I came up to where when cell phones came out Motorola was the original. I had one of the pagers back in the day lol. I'm back to Motorola and I think I will stick to them. I wish I could've got the edge+ but I'm on a budget right now. I'm somehow always rough on phones. A lot of mine get broke somehow. I don't really need to put a lot of money into a phone being somehow I always mess them up lol. I wouldn't mind getting the edge+ to have to go out on the weekends with to look more stylish but it is what it is lol. Good review man!

Bought this for $39.88 @ Walmart just to use as an MP3 player. I was surprised how much better in so many ways it is to my beat up Samsung Galaxy A20. I don't need to activate it since I will ONLY use it on wifi. Once a week I connect it to the internet to download a podcast. Where can you buy an MP3 player with a huge screen that can be used an a web browser, video player, video game player, etc for $40? Plus Apple doesn't get a cent of my money. We truly live in modern times.

@@Cupid230 It comes with a block game and I haven't noticed anything with the touchscreen. The only lag I noticed was when I was going to websites, it tends to become stuttery. I only use it for podcasts and as far as battery life, it lasts me a good 5 or so days before I plug it in to charge. Granted I have it on airplane mode and off wifi. Only bluetooth is turned on.

Got this for $100 through xfinity plan, $25 activation and 1GB limit but it lowered my plan somehow. Not an ad tbh, but it’s what brought me here bc I was surprised how decent this phone is. It’s almost my first android phone since the s4 active. I’m mainly and iPhone user. But I use this moto for my work phone now.

Although I am a Galaxy S23+ fan boy, I must say, those speakers on that Moto play really do kick out some base! Definitely demo audio quality with songs like that one. , , Speaking of witch, who sings that! , Want to go and listen to it in full.

With guerilla glass do you even need a screen protector or could it still be scratched? I use my phone a lot for watching KZbin and Rumble videos and playing Pokémon Go and am thinking about this one. Thanks for the review.

All glass can be scratched especially the glass used in smartphones. So yes use a screen protector unless you’re ok with thousands of micro scratches all over your screen.

Brought one last year, unfortunately Verizon brought the company out Motorola and then they sent out a malicious update that disabled carrier service and disabled the wifi calling toggle switch rendering my phone useless , Verizon needs to be investigated for this deceitful tactic to control their own carrier service.

If it were me, I'd go with the Moto g play. The a15 has a better screen and more support, but you will get more laggy performance that in a few years will be unusable.

Just bougt it, kills me that Motorola wont make a GOOD 5.2" screen. They still think everyone wants a huge phone. I hate 6.5 its just too big, but was ina pinch & couldnt see getting the budget motorola which is way too stripped down even if it is smaller. . My compalint, Motoroal fails to deliver a good quality phone under 5.5"

Hi Constance! Maybe you figured it out already but you need to turn on auto rotate by swiping down from top of vertical screen to find the auto rotate option somewhere near the airplane mode, etc. As for watching videos in full screen, you need to tap the screen to see the pause button and time line to find a square box in bottom right corner. Tap that to go to full screen. You can always ask Google or KZbin for help. Best wishes!🙂

I really couldn't find anything wrong with having this phone and the typical things people complain about this phone. I didn't complain about it or get frustrated about yet that's just me coming with an open mind when I bought this type of phone because I understand having a mid-range phone with the features they do have is good for a phone like this and even all the features that this phone doesn't have I don't need any ways and a typical consumer would not need not because I say so because even on a more expensive phone some features are useless either way.
