My only 1 complaint about the Moto G Power 5G 2023 phone is that i really wish they would've just stuck with the 3 day battery life feature instead of going for only 2 day battery life but all in all the phone does look good

@@Modikie Depends on what you're doing with it and what your screen brightness is. It has the same battery as the 2020 model. My biggest complaint is it takes forever to charge it. Edit: Charged it to 100% and then left it charging for another hour and now it changes fine. Also for some strange reason it changes much faster with the USB cable that came with the phone.

Watching this from my Moto Edge + 2022. The 5G,Dual speakers and storage and ram boost are all welcome upgrades but now we need software support. My edge is still on Android 12 and should be updated until Android 14 imo as well as the Power series.

Agreed! Still got my Edge Plus too. No NFC on the G Power is a bummer. I had to edit this because I rewatched the video and just caught Kevin mentioning no NFC. :(

i love the extra features of of the edge, but i think i shoulda gone down to the G Power. i'm a casual user and stuff that i thought i'd want, like NFC and wireless charging just don't matter that much to me in practice. the software updates are much more important and the company seems to be giving all the edge users the middle finger.

Moto G can sometimes be super slow. Go to Settings and try to search something, like "battery". As soon as you type "b-a-t", most modern systems give you the relevant options right away (under sub-second) but it can take 3-5 seconds for the menu to appear - like, what!? Do programmers who work on this not care about their craft? How can QA give this a pass??

Nice review! Im still rocking Moto G Stylus 2021. Still getting 3 days or so on the battery. Screen is busted for the second time and giving issues this time around. Other than that its been a great, solid phone for working construction. Motorola just has too many phones that seem so similar. This one seems lie middle of the road without taking my money so I just bought this exact phone. Should get it in a few days. Thanks for the review

Currently typing this comment from a moto g power, i am very satisfied with the phone and it feels very smooth and feels premium to be honest. The haptic feedback, and just in general the feel of the software, refresh rate, cameras, and their own implementations feel very well thought out with "pro" features, while still keeping practicality.

I've had this phone for a month or so . I switch from an s20 i really like this phone it's fast and snappy and plenty bright enough. battery life seems better than the S20 .

I may go with Moto over Apple and Android. I remember having them back in the day. The sleeper brand for sure. I had no problems with mine. It was the one with the stylus pen. Was pretty cool!

Having "Power" in the name should mean the phone has a ridiculous amount of battery like 10000mah. The regular Moto G (2022) also had 5000mah. All the different Moto Gs should simply merge into one model (perhaps except for Stylus)

Tempted to get this! Thank you for your review! I'll also check out your complete review! My Pixel 5a just got the black screen of death and Google offered to replace it with a 6a. However, since other Pixels are also susceptible to the same issue (BSOD), I'm tempted to jump ship over to Moto. I loved my old Moto phones from before the Pixels were released, and love that this one has a headphone jack and is close to stock Android.

I have the moto g power 2021 also and love it. The stereo speakers are awesome, and I'm glad they're back. The 2022 model got dumbed down, so I got the earlier one for less money. It's a little slow for what I need it for, and I cracked the screen, so I'm definitely going to look at this one.

Wow this is the exact same situation I'm in. Someone stole my phone and damaged it (long story...)I want the dual speakers and all the other moto things I'm used to. I guess you have to get 5g at this point. Honestly, I'm really bummed my old phone was damaged. And I can't spend 500$ for the edge. I'm thinking this is the best choice. Anything has got to be better than the temp phone I'm using now

So the reason why I've only stuck with Samsung is because of the network bands. I get good connection with Samsung at all times. Sometimes after a few yrs, Android on Samsung becomes finnicky. Does the Moto have connection issues or will it be okay? I have AT&T and live in NY. I have a Samsung S10, but camera stopped working so I may need a new phone or camera. How are the benchmarks?

The connection should be just fine. Also, stock Android will age better and work more fluidly overtime than Samsung's One UI.

I got this phone for free with cricket wireless as a new customer. They have multiple 2022 and 2023 Motorola g line up phones for free right now if you bring your own phone number with you from your previous carrier. You also get HBO MAX for free as long as you keep your unlimited plan which 60 month.

256 gigs would be awesome but no 4k recording and no mention of duel stereo speakers unless I simply missed mention of that detail automatic pass especially in regards to the camera this would be a downgrade from current phone otherwise may have considered it I think I might go for a Sammy this upgrade season unless another phone with similar or more features for a budget friendly price catches my eye, so far not yet. Metro has some deals but they are still doing the physical store walk in nonsense instead of honoring rebate and or port ins online as many other carriers are now doing which makes things convenient for those who are using public transportation etc. I appreciate how thorough you're channel is in terms of addressing the many aspects of the phone's you have a nice review style easy to understand, thanks.

It looks tempting but why only a 10W charging brick when we're coming out with 120W charging? I love the headphone jack and display is just as good as my Super AMOLED. I wish charging Smartphones could be improved for harsh working environments. I work all day and need a phone to get me through the day and that will support all day music. Cool concept but the lack of a hypercharge makes this device feel obsolete even a 30W charging brick works but only a 10W at least sell different Charging brocks and let the customer buy that later if you don't have a charging cable around I feel sorry for you.

They do sell power bricks. Very fairly priced, up to like 100w I think on there website and Amazon and other places. Not to mention aftermarket ones. But it would be nice if they would include the 15w brick with this phone since it does support up to 15w. It does make a big difference as well. I wasn't sure and decided to give a try anyways and glad I did. It charges my phone literally twice as fast as the included 10. From dead it only takes maybe 30 mins or so with the 15.

@@ihaveawokenhaveyou665 It's not about power bricks they don't even offer fast charging my Samsung Galaxy A23 5G offers fast charge and expandable storage screen is good even scratched. I am using Moto G Stylus 2022 4G because it has more detail in the resolution for IPS/LCD it's really not that bad. You should check out Xiaomi most of their Smartphones allow Hyper Charge so you can get through the day they're being more open right now to the US Territory and I've seen some US Unlocked versions of the Smartphones.

Im torn between getting this and the stylus 5g 2023....... The only reason im thinking about the stylus version is because i hear it has better 5g stuff and processors and such. Im very NOT cell phone tech savy at ALL. But i hear the stylus 5g is a little better than the power 5g. Anyone have any advice on that? Im staying with motorola either way . Been with them for last 7 years and hst love there phones. I would love to get the edge fusion 30, but its jst a little out of my price range, even on sale at 400 from 800. Anyways any advice on the power and stylus question would be extremely appreciated

I just got my moto power 2020 or 2021 I can't remember stolen and destroyed. It was the best phone I ever had. Honestly, if everything wasn't so much further ahead tech wise I would just rebuy the old phone. Everyone says you need 5g. Did you end up getting this? Based on what everyone says both moto g 2022 phones stylus and g 5g were awful.

Damn can't believe they are selling this for 99 on straight talk which my g power 2020 is and it still has 100% battery capacity no faults with the phone hasn't slowed down I've literally drop this thing off of five-story buildings I ran over on accident I put this thing through hell and it still keeps going so if the fact that they have the 2023 5g for 99 bucks yeah I'm on that asap and I would still be hesitant to let this phone go it's still really good

Dam faithful to my Motorola phones. I think I've had almost all of them. Had the flip razors for years, had a few of the droids when they came out. I like my stylus 22. I use my phone all day screaming music and my battery life is awesome. Soon as I got the phone I trained the battery religiously full use till dead and charge all the way without turning it back on. Makes a diff that's for sure. Need to have upgraded cases from Motorola directly. ......,.... Cases suck for these phones. Other then that I'll never switch

I have had 4 phones before this they were Galaxy a01:slow but not bad Galaxy a02s: a slight upgrade but i would like it to be a bit smaller and it was still slow Galaxy a12:same thing just a tiny bit faster Moto g pure:the slowest phone i have had and I don't like it but i did have moments where i thought it was OKAY the software was terrible So coming from those to this one THIS IS A MASSIVE UPGRADE it doesn't lag at everything you do of course it still lags but not every 5 seconds and it only lags 1-2 times a day which is very good while i had Android 13 the software was bad it would instinctively go to picture in play and auto awnser calls HOWEVER after it getting updated to Android 14 the picture in play issue got fixed but the auto awnser call issue still isn't fixed

4k video is kind of dumb on ALL phones. They did not even use 4k in movies when they first converted and those were 100 foot screens. I think 1080P is over kill on a tiny phone screen unless you take a microscope to it. They have everyone duped into 4k. I have a 4k OLED and 2K Plasma and the plasma is actually better in sports. If you are 8 feet from TVs they look the same. 4k eats up much more bandwidth so if you have a few TVs in the home 4k will bogg it so will gaming. 1080p is good enough, hell most TV is 640 and 720p and is decent.
