I dropped mines on a pile of shit one time, When I had the bubbly guts. I retrieved it in three seconds from out the toilet... I just use the napkin, clean it off. With a little hand soap. Not too much cause. I didn't want to get it wet. And bam It was working like brand new it's water resistant I love it. ❤❤❤❤

I think thw battery on the 21 is the best. It actually lasts almost 2 full days without charging. The 23 seem it can barely make it a day and its the same battery . I think it may be due to the faster screen.

I loved my 2021 but I dropped it and the whole screen popped off. I just got my replacement from insurance and they gave me a 2023 one so I had to check specs between. I've only ran the camera on it so far and I'm highly impressed with 2023 camera over 2021. I can't wait to try out my phone game with 2 extra ram and better processor! Thanks for video!

I have the 2021 as well and I dropped mine last winter and it's all cracked. Was thinking of "upgrading" to the 2023 but saw a review saying the 2023 is actually a downgrade so I held off. How do you like this overall compared to the 2021? Would you say you like it better?

I don't see too much of a difference. This phone is not exactly bad. The camera is a bit better in my opinion. Only thing i don't care for is battery life is better on the old phone. 2023 one isnt bad so far

You can get a wireless charging tag to plug in. That's what I did. Gotta make sure you get a case thin enough for the charge to work though.

Old comment but I'm in the exact same situation. I've had my 2021 version for a while and despite it not being the greatest gaming phone it's a solid device for basic use. Only issue is it's starting to have charging issues. The slightest movement stops it from charging so it's clearly time for a new phone. Did you end up going with the 2023 stylus?

As a matter of fact did.I got a really good deal through boost Mobile $20 for each phone so I bought two one for my daughter and one for myself. That being said my daughter dropped hers 3 days after receiving it and shattered the screen beyond repair.🤯 So (me being the good parent)I gave her mine & tried to get another for one $20.00 & the price had gone up to $169🤬 so that being the only thing I can compare for the Moto 5G stylus 2023 and the Moto 5G stylus 2021 is the 2021 has an indestructible screen both of us dropped that phone at least 500x without a scratch.😮 The 2023 was dropped on the third day & completely demolished the screen! So the 2021 definitely has a more durable screen 😊

Once the 5G network is available in your area and you are within range for it to connect to your phone it will. My phone changes between LTE and 5G all the time.

Right. I'm using the 2021 stylus and it has no NFC. They lied about it having NFC in 2021 when I searched having on different websites. Who knows if the new 2023 actually has it NFC.

This will be the last Motorola phone that I buy if it does not receive the Android 14 update, this is bullcrap Motorola used to be known for good quality stuff, not anymore.... I purchased my Motorola g. Stylus 5G 2023 version for the very reason of it getting a few updates. I've only had this phone for a couple months. Again this is bullcroft bad business for Motorola, I would think twice before I purchased a Motorola phone....

@@nfu1851hey supposedly offer a single os update and bimonthly security patches but typically don’t deliver them timely or at all. These phones are honestly a waste of time and money regardless of what their spec sheet checklist consists of. I honestly love android and if you put a gun to my head and ask iOS or Android I’d probably say android but in that space you really 2 legit options , samsung or pixels. I can’t stand one UI so that leaves only pixel. And with Google’s spotty record I got sick of fighting with them and finally just got an iPhone.

I've had my 2021 since they first came out and I really enjoy this phone because I kept getting 60 GB phones and then when I finally stepped up to this one when I was due for an upgrade in 2021 on my birthday in March I was really happy that this one had double the memory with 128 gigabytes instead of 60 and so I still have only used maybe half my memory. And it's been 2 years typically every single birthday in March when I'm due for my upgrade I have to get a new phone because it's ran out of memory even with a bloody most of my stuff to Google but I don't know I've been thinking about upgrading to the 2022 or 2023 but I've heard mixed reviews on them and then I also don't like that the screen is smaller on the newest version I mean I thought maybe go with the 2022 instead but the 2023 has more memory etc I don't know it's a hard choice maybe I should go back to Samsung or a different brand of Android I know the iPhone is good for a lot of things but Just need an honest opinion if you were to stick on the Android side today what would you pick that would have a good camera for pictures and videos and a decent amount of memory that's not damn near the price of an iPhone without the benefits

Yeah I agree they are kind of heavy.. I have the Motorola stylus 5G 2021 I've had it for a while and I just purchased the Motorola g stylus 5g 2023 last week. It's actually heavier than the 2021. Which is crazy and it's even heavier with my case on it . But I don't care it's a good budget phone I can afford and it works great I had a blue view 2 phone before these and it was so slow and lagged so much and the screen resolution was very low I don't think it supported no more than 480. So I'm not going to complain about the weight

I just got one from Cricket Wireless as well. My price was $165.71. I am giving up my 2021 Emerald Green Stylus 5G because it is starting to lag and force close some apps. I am having an issue with the call clarity through the earpiece as well. I actually really enjoyed using the 2021 but it's time to upgrade.
