In my opinion it has few distinct advantage over Redmi note4 1. Latest software and pure Android.Likely to get already Android "O" update at least if not more. 2. Better camera 3. Fast charging 4.NFC, will be useful when Android pay makes it's entry in India 5.Better brand value We have one Redmi note at home but I am a moto fan, used moto g, now using moto g3 . Have already ordered 4 gb variant .Moto g series is value for money and don't forget that it started the online sale revolution in India via Flipkart. The rate is OK but ideally at this rate 3GBRAM and 32 GB storage and 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage should have been launched.

It's been 4 years . I bought it in April 2017. It still works like new. Thanks to metal body though I have dropped it many many times. Phone is fine. I'm still not thinking about buying new one. I'm fond of it's clean UI. Only problem is there is no Dual LTE. Jio SIM turns off while I turn data ON on Airtel SIM. This review made me buy this phone. Thanks after 4 years.

Great man. 4 years is a long period of time to use an Android smartphone. I also bought G5 plus in April 2017. But I have changed my smartphone few times now. I bought Asus 5z one and half years later. But I was forced to change it due to battery issues. I exchanged Asus 5z with Vivo Z1 pro for 5000 rupees. But my father got fond of Vivo Z1 pro and he bought me a new phone which was Realme X2 pro (The best phone I have used till now) but after one year I sold it for 20,000 and bought OnePlus 8T which was a huge disappointment. OnePlus 8T soon got lot of horrible problems within few months itself but I didn't change it. After a year of usage I exchanged it with my current smartphone which is the mighty iphone 13 which I bought with my own money ♥️

thanks for this. i have both the redmi note 4 with the decca 10x core (11 if you include the controller) and now the moto g5 plus. i prefer the moto however the 64gb internal storage on the mi is a very strong point. i agree with you that motorola should have increased it to 32gb. then it would really be the best mid ranger around.

Nice Review of features and comparison Ranjit. One more point to highlight is that , Android Nougat on G5 plus does not allow installation of Apps from Google play store if your mobile data is in roaming region. you will have to install only thru WiFi or the home region of your SIM.

Ranjit ji, if smart fon is one year old , or 15 month then it's advisable to buy that fon ? Coz after 18 to 20 month we don't get original battery, then we have to use market duplicate or copy battery, and that doesn't work more than 15 or 30 days . So plzzz reply about this ,sir ???
