I see a lot of people complaining about the autofocus not working after applying the camera glass. A few things could go wrong: Shards of glass have entered in the gap around the camera lens. It is a moving lens and this could be preventing it from moving. Always keep the camera face down, unlike what the video shows. IF not, I hope you own a powerful vacuum. Also, it is possible that you removed the paper backing of the intermediate adhesive layer, but the adhesive itself was not removed. This sucks! but you can tell by looking at the camera lens that there is a yellowish substance there. Thirdly, you MUST clean the lens and sensors with an alcohol wipe prior to applying the lens glass cover. If that doesn't work, try rebooting.

First, the ways of replacement is on the video. Second, the most important trick is heating. Heat up the broken lens by 50-80 centi degree for 2-3 mins, then try remove it, and before you do that, you should better got your mind well-prepared and calm down.

This happens when I take close range pics of my notes etc. However beyond 30-40 cms , the pictures are perfect. Is there an issue with rear camera or any other reason? How can I know my rear camera is perfect. Although I tried not press inner camera while removing glass but I have been using my phone without the glass lens for about 10-12 days

I see. so the problem now is that your rear camera lens is broken which makes your camera blurred, and you wanna replace it and need to know what's required for that replacement, am I right? Part that arrived differs from the youtube video: - the double-sided glue piece did not have any spares that could be used to clean the phone's lens prior to installation like shown in the video (they cut out a spare piece and use it). Rather it arrives in its final form. - They do not show in the Video to **stick the double-sided tape onto the lens** - this is done off-screen, as a result I didn't understand (thought it was a part for a different model that should not be used) and skipped this part, instead placing the lens with no tape on the phone - This caused the lends to be recessed a bit (it sits lower without the double-sided tape) which caused the image to always be out of focus - This product is inferior to lenses that come as one piece where you don't have to stick the double-sided tape to the lens then the lens into the phone. This one is much harder. I initially bought from you to support you for posting the video but the installation failed and ended up buying a 2nd lens elsewhere (that comes as one piece..)

And yes I did remove the lens and tried to re-install but the double-sided tape was slightly malformed (I initially put it in the garbage) already and when trying to assemble the lens broke (very fragile). In short seems a 1-piece lens is easier to install than this 2 part setup.

I apparently added too much heat and the plastic LED cover melted/warped and will no longer fit. Further, the camera's auto focus no longer works (tried with and without the new glass). I don't see any glass shards in the camera module. Either way, it appears the plastic fresnel lens for the LED is not available ANYWHERE so I just junked my phone. You should have a warning that too much heat can damage the parts - not just a 100-150° for 2 min statement.

What's wrong with the original camera lens? If the camera lens crack then the shatters may get inside, it would stuck on the rear camera and the focus will lose focus will break. Did you check the rear camera without the lens? If it works fine, then the problem is camera, if not, the rear camera broke.

Hello, here is my answer for the question above: 1. If you did not remove the broken camera lens, then the picture camera shot would be blur. It was like you got a broken eye-glasses, if you wear it, the things you see is all blur. So yes, the camera lens would impact the auto focus. 2. First you should remove the broken lens, see whether there's anything glass shutter on the camera then clean it. So that you can make sure which part lead to the blur picture, the rear camera or the camera lens. 3. The auto focus feature was integrated into the rear camera, you can only know the answer after you check the rear camera.

I replaced the lens in the right way, but the camera doesn't focus anymore. When the glass was cracked the AutoFocus worked, but after removing the glass and with the new one it doesn't worked. @@tafheemshah My camera didn't focus for something like 10 months, than it started to working again sometimes. Now, after one year it works like before. It's like it repaired itself, awesome. Probably there were some pieces of glass around the camera module that broke or moved over time, but idk for sure. Anyway I love this phone 😂

@@asifmasood2345 make sure all broken bits have been removed. Then push the camera lens back and forth, to make sure it's moving freely. Don't put the outer cover on yet, take a few pictures and watch that the lens is focussing ok. If it's taking good pictures, put the outer cover on, and check it's still doing so. If it is, you're finished.

If the crack was spread to the central part you should be careful, because once the glass shards get inside the phone it would damage the camera.

Thanks for the tip, thou the crack is just a straight line that crosses between the flash and the camera sensor, it is not like, shattered yet, in fact it only broke bc i had let the phone in the upright position against my monitor stand, and the phone vibrated and fell over its own weight.

It used to focus even with broken glass. And yeah I dropped it once and that's when the crack emerged in the glass. It used to take good shots and focus really good but after a couple of weeks dust particles entered the glass and photos were quite grainy.
