That's not a notification light......this is the proximity sensor which blinks in camera.

Does the overcharge protection charge upto 80 percent? I charged my phone today from 23 percent with the feature on but it still charged till 91 percent.

Till 80% , the phone will charge normally then the phone will take charge slowly to ensure battery life stays good
