I too wasn't sure why they'd bother with the traction control at 55hp. But I'm glad they did. Traction Control + ABS , knocks 10% off insurance here at in the states👍

I think Husqvarna's first cycle was 1903 too.

Royal Enfield produced their first motorcycle in 1901 and have been in continual production since then. Harley Davidson came around in 1903. Just saying...

Royal Enfield closed and stoped the production in 1970 then was revived in the mid 90..

Yes, they did cease operation in England in 1970 however the brand was sold to India in 1955 and they've been making them there ever since.

so royal enfield wasn't a CONTINUOUS motorcycle manufacturer, same as Triumph.
@wozza597 жыл бұрын
ripmax333 Yes it was. Royal Enfield has been in continuous production since 1901. It matters not where they are produced only the fact that the bikes have been in continual production. Royal Enfield in India can directly link it's lineage to Royal Enfield England. Although Royal Enfield England stopped production in the 1970s Royal Enfield in India has never stopped production.

Enfield has enjoyed continuous production by the same company unlike Triumph which was resurrected. Enfield-India was a joint venture between RE (The Enfield Cycle Company) and Madras Motors. A joint anglo-indian company due to indian government rules. So although the british end ceased in 1970 (NVT in 1978) the indian branch continued, and was eventually bought out by Eicher. So it is the same company although it has changed hands, and did not cease production. The company originated in 1851 and made bicycles from around 1886, a quadricycle was produced in 1899, motorcycles in 1901, and cars in 1902

The V9 does not have 2 power modes.

I used to ride about 25 years ago in the UK but never passed my test so I only had bikes up to 125cc. I got married and cars were the order of the day and that was that...until I saw the V9 Bobber and I just want one, no other bike, just one of those. If I pass my test would it be stupid to buy an 850cc bike bearing in mind that it's not a high performance racer and I've no intention of being one?

Maybe a bit late with a response, but I'll give you one. My first bike as a 25 years old, after passing the exam was a Suzuki Bandit 1200. It's a big heavy bike with really high torque. But you can ride most of the bikes softly. It all depends on you. If you don't want to show off, any bike will fit you. I liked the Bandit for long rides, because if you have to overtake, you have the power to do it at any speed. But for riding in the city it was just too big for me. Now I'm also looking for something like the V9, especially because in Switzerland they take speeding seriously, so most of the time you can only go by 80 kmph. And I just want to enjoy my ride in the mountains.

53 h.p. is about as much power as the starter on my bike...

Jeff-traction control means that no matter how hard you twist that throttle, the computer shuts it off to keep your rear tire from spinning. ABS will not stop your bike in a panic stop, or your car either. Me, I'd pay a little more for the insurance than to have all that crap. Video is great stuff and no nonsense. Love the bit when he's in the front loader tire. I just wish they made this bike bigger and more H.P. and taller.

ABS will not stop your bike in a panic stop? WTF? You sound like a person who doesn't understand engineering or physics.
