I currently own the LG V10, Nexus 6p, Note 5, and Moto X Pure. The Moto X is my favorite one out of all of them. I think it has a lot to do with the feel in hand (as Michael pointed out) and the software. Nothing beats Moto Display, in my opinion. The IR sensors are awesome. I never have to use the power button on this phone. It reads SMS messages to me when I'm driving and has one of the more consistent performances out of all of my phones. I'm also a fan of the edge-to-edge screen and front-facing speakers. I got mine for $350 on Amazon Warehouse deals and for that price, it was a complete steal. I frequently tell people that they can't get a better phone for the money. And it's a better phone for half the price of the Note 5, especially since it manages RAM better with 1GB less available. I have zero complaints about this phone and that says a lot in a world where no smartphone is perfect.

Aside from the sub-par battery life on this phone it is still a very good Android offering. I recently received the Android N update on at&t and I will soon replace the battery myself with a brand new one; the process is quite easy apparently. This phone will be especially hard to let go of because I used Moto Maker to make it my own upon its initial release but a new battery and the Nougat update should get me into the spring release season to search for a new flagship or premium mid-range phablet. It has definitely been my favorite phone of all time.

I appreciate this after-buzz video. I just bought a Huawei Honor 5x after moving from my 1st gen Moto X. I loved that phone but had to go cheaper as the Moto X Style was just too expensive. If I can win one somewhere, I will definitely switch out my sim and use it. I loved everything about my phone, outside of the laughably delayed updates (12-15 months).
@BassPro1509 жыл бұрын
Bought my pure after watching the initial review. Trying to get my friends to pick it over the 6p, but of course they went Nexus, which is not a bad thing at all. But, holding and tinkering with the nexus, I have to agree that to me the Moto X is still the standout as when I bought it a few months back. The 6p does things mine does not, sure. But the feature set is still as alluring now more than ever.

@Thisath1009 жыл бұрын
+Luiz Eduardo I really like the OPT and a friend of mine owns it, but I'd go with the Z5. The OPT seems so unreliable and hard to replace. My friend who bought it just a few months after release had to change the battery as it was not functioning properly, and finding the battery wasn't that easy or cheap either. If you read the forums, you'll find many people like that, not a huge lot, but a considerable amount. The software and performance are on par, the camera maybe better on the OPT (ymmv), which looks better depends on you, but I'd personally go with the Sony. However, the OPT is much cheaper and bang for buck. It comes down to hoping you won't be plagued by issues and whether you can handle the customer service issues that come with it.

My dad is getting a new phone since his old one broke and uses phones very lightly, we're deciding between the Moto X, LG G4, and the Nexus 5x. We don't want to spend more than 400$ on a phone and we're thinking of getting this. Is this a good choice?
@GoddardEmpire8 жыл бұрын
The 5x will get more support and future updates, it is a capable phone and will not disappoint. There are a few problems with the G4 such as the bootloader problem that numerous customers have complained about. And the Moto x has the poor performing non-removable battery. If you don't care much about the screen get the 5x, not that the screen is bad but the Moto x and the G4 both have quad he screens and the Nexus has 1080p. If you don't care much about expandable memory, then get the 5x.

+MadSupra354 I'd argue they're about the same. The MXP has a better camera, better battery, SD card expansion, and Quick Charge. The OP2 has a better processor and fingerprint sensor. The OP2's USB-C connector isn't even spec compliant, I wouldn't count that as a benefit in anyway. It has none of the benefits of USB-C and has the big caveat too: it's not widespread.
