This is what I needed to see! A larger frame guy like myself on the bike so I can judge how it might look with myself on it as I cant go to a dealer to see/feel for curry currently with Covid-19 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

I have had an MT07 before and I must say the CB650 is (for me) a better bike. More comfortable. Better handling. And yes, the light in the speedometre is adjustable.

Comparing this to the MT07 is almost apples to oranges. Two very different kinds of bikes. Better brakes, better suspension, 20 more hp, 3000 more RPM from the engine from a reworked supersport 600 engine (12,800rpm redline). This bike is a street version of an old 600cc race bike. You have to wind it it out. If you want low speed fun, get an MT07. If you want a sport bike without fairings, this bike is for you.

That engine when it originally released in the 650 series was a new design and was not a reworked supersport engine. Also 40 pounds heavier, less torque and the gearing is way taller, so yes it's quick but still feels slower then the MT. But agreed definitely more sporty/better suspension and better brakes.

@@MistressDarkTruth it may "Feel" slower than (not then) the MT, But it IS faster than the MT.

@@AcmeRocket agreed I owned two MT-07s and the CB650 at the same time. The CB just never really did it for me, traded it for a KTM 890 Duke R.

Great bike. It really isn't small or light for a 650. 57in wheelbase, almost 460 lbs. The brakes work very well, it takes time in your case because you are probably 220+lbs which is fine but for a more average size rider, the brakes will obviously be more effective.

I own a FZ07, a MT07, Fury and a 790 Duke currently. I owned one of these this year, it's built beautiful but other then that I hated this bike more then anything else I have owned. High frequency vibration creeps in the bars and makes your hands numb very quickly. I'm 5'9" and the leg position is super cramped. I traded it for the Duke and couldn't be happier. Honestly the MT07 is way more fun and comfortable. The only place the CB wins over the 7 is build quality, LED lighting and suspension. The suspension is better at sportier riding but is super harsh though.

I also need to add that I understand why the CB costs more money but I don't think it's worth it. Plus trade in value is terrible because the dealers at least around me say they don't sell well. I had the version with TC and ABS, one month old and the dealers would only give me $6500. At the same time I inquired about trading in my 1 year old MT07 and they would have given me $5500.

@@pinoyobserver1190 personally I would say the XSR, more roomy seating position (very upright) and lighter. I would also say if you are use to singles and twins you would probably feel more at home on the XSR. I still think the Honda has a better overall build quality. But personally I feel like the MT/XSR is more fun. Does not hurt to go out and see what you can find deals on this time of the year either.

I think you and MCRider are the only two people in Texas wearing a proper bike jacket and a helmet... lol. I do as well, but in Ontario, Canada, we don't deal with the heat that you have. In fact soon it will be snow... cr@p!

I don’t understand the thought process behind that ridiculously small seat on this bike. Zero passenger comfort. No room for the rider to move around. Honda blew it on this one
