god dam I miss my 01 YZ426... This is the only video I've seen on youtube that sounds 100% like the bike does in real life! I loved how it was so loud you could hear the echo of the exhaust coming back.

Hell yeah! Check out my latest 426 video, its a 2001 also. Absolute beast of a machine! Hopefully you can get your hands on another one

Agreed, I had an 02 a while back, I was always a 2 stroke guy & I still am, but I loved this bike. I’ve got a nice custom 450 & it’s a great bike, but there’s something about the 426. I prefer it over my 450 strangely enough. It’s a heavy bike but the power & handling made up for it, killer bike, it’s so snappy, power everywhere.

This is the best video on youtube of a yz426f riding raw in sand imo

Just picked one up for $750 not running 2001 pretty much all oem, big gun exhaust. Engine has compression, owner said it will start once cleaned. The carb was taken apart and i saw why it wouldnt start LOL every passage way was clogged. Getting it all back together now with new graphics etc...gunna mak a video of the potential first start!

The 09' yz450f weighs around 238lbs wet weight, and the yz426f weights around 230lbs dry weight. So probley with a full tank of gas and oil it probley weights closer to 250lbs wet weight. I'm around 6foot and around 200lbs and it doesnt feel heavy at all. Its a great bike, never had any problems. Very beastly, can easly keep up with the newer 450's.
@AjackLee4 Жыл бұрын
The 400Fs were about 245-250, the 426 was closer to 240lbs with the titanium and aluminum bits

would you recommend one of these bikes? Like are they reliable as long as you keep up with regular maintainance?

@LAXman1496 i do.. ofcourse, 4 strokes are torque monsters.. but too easy to ride. and when they break, they really break.

@CR500freak i used to have a kx 250, I would like a 4 stroke strictly for fuel economy like the 2 stroke burns too much gas I cant go on long trail rides, I got a yamaha banshee right now. I was lookin at tradin it for a 03 crf450r

I wish I could afford to go into motorcross looks awesome,but for now i'll just stick to tournament style paintball maybe in a few more years i'll try it out though seems costly though

@CR500freak don't you just love the low end torque of the four strokes though? You have to give them some credit haha. But I agree.. long live 2 stroke!!

I think maybe around 230lbs dry weight. Everyone says they're heavy, but I it feels light to me. Maybe because im used to riding older dirt bikes.

@kenbouy ehmm... you actually use the front brake much more than the rare, the front brake is the most usefull in braking in fast before a corner, for example, (as well as dirt and pavement), just so you know =)

Naah 45 or 46. But 250 two strokes can have up to 58hp. But torque power makes the strokes beat the 2 strokes. My 450 has 52hp
