Damn shame that Kawi pulled out, Jamie was one of the few racers in America to make that ZX-10R work at a very high level. Really miss that guy racing, he was no bullshit racer, straight up, an American to the core!

I loved watching him race. Some people cheer at Marques elbow sliding, but MR Hacking invented the body slide! 😁

@@sheldonmurphy6031 There was so much BS going on in AMA at that time, and Jamie was the kind of guy that just wanted to race without all the politics. One could tell he wasn't the the kind of guy to put up all the BS. Excluding WorldSBK, no else rode that ZX-10R in the USA better than him. Given another few seasons and he would have gotten some wins! He really was fearless. To see anyone compete with Matt & Ben was almost unheard of back then, so it wasn't too far fetched for him to get some wins given more time!

@@jryer1 Omgosh! I remember this! I remember hearing that the AMA was falling apart somewhere during the late 90's or early 2000's. I left for the Army in 03. Nothing was the same when I got out, and then I couldn't find the races on cable television anymore. I honestly believe Hacking was fully intending on mastering that bike! Lastly... I am pretty sure you know of the movie called Road. It's a documentary about the Dunlop family. Joey senior was my first true inspiration, later came Mr Hacking. If you haven't seen the documentary, you definitely should! 😁
