After 20 years amongst the elite in the high-speed sport he loves, Max Biaggi decided to hang up his racing leathers in exchange for family life after narrowly winning the thrilling 2012 World Superbike Championship by half a point.
During a day of Supermoto fun and from a man who usually hides away from the camera, here Max openly chats about his racing past, favorite bikes, his toughest rivals and give us his future predictions for the 2013 MotoGP and WSBK Championships.

I always loved Max. He was always in the shadow of Rossi but I think that it was only a question of bikes and circumstance. Max was a showman in every sense of the word. He has an "All Out" attitude like Evil Knevel and the talent to beat anyone on any given day. He was always spectacular and a true crowdpleaser at all times. Love ya Max.

Love Max, such a great story as well. If you're ever at the Vatican, there's a cafe shop just outside of the wall where rumor has it he worked in as a kid. It's like a shrine to Mad Max.

I grew up watching Max hammer round circuits. It just seemed every year there was always "one". Whether it was Doohan, Schwantz, Rossi, Roberts (Jr). But in world supers, cream rises.

Dead right ! I think Sykes was a little robbed of the title. and Im sure Laverty was'nt happy handing up that third place. also cant remember what round it was they were awarded half points due to rain, that helped Biaggi. anyway good luck to Max, he was a great rider and a very entertaining personality, have to say will miss him !

I like Max but I hate how he won his last superbike title because in one of the rounds Laverty was in third and Max was behind him and Laverty had team orders to let Max through and get the points... if it wasn't for that, Max could of lost the championship.
