Hey Robo, appreciate the content mate and your thoughts, I noticed the later braking too compared to last year, the bike picking itself up does take a bit of getting used to. I’ve only spent a round 1 and half hours so far, and I love the rider aspect, creates great immersion and I feel like I’m really fighting for a moto3 placement! Last year’s game and physics were great. This year are even better. In short, the physics are addictive once you get the hang of it and precision pays. These are some of the important improvements. The bikes are very agile and flip from side to side just as in real life and sportsbikes do. Last year they were pretty sluggish. When accelerating the bike will tend to go wide on the curve. This forces you to be precise when opening the throttle. Just as real motorcycles behave. This didn’t happen in the video game last year. I wish the opposite was more pronounced in the game so that if you are turning and trail brake the bike will go to the inside of the curve and turn tighter. The rider’s position is more aggressive and looks much better. My body can be over the curbs while the bike is on the pavement. I wish there were a little bit more animations and movements on the rider to make it more realistic. Breaking can be done more aggressively without much consequence as long as you do it while vertical. Bike becomes unstable when downshifting while leaning. Just as it should be. The menu is much better. Love the photo session on the background. The graphics can be improved. For some reason there is too much contrast and the dark areas look a little bit too dark.

The AI you are describing is pretty much like all Moto GP games. The difficulty settings are BS on the newer games, I've run 90 and every number all the way down to 60, I was on 75 and it was harder than 90! 2020 is the best one I've played so far and 21 is the newest one I own. Looking at your lap times is a better way to gauge how hard the game is and physics wise every game varies from bike to bike. On 2020 I set faster laps on a 2002 RC211V than I can on a lot of the newer bikes when they are stock in career mode. For some reason time trial results won't upload or I'd see how I stack up to everyone else. I was top 1000 in the world out of over 2 million overall in Forza Motorsport 2 so I know most tracks real well, plus I've done odd ones in real life in a car and on a bike. 2020 seems to have the best balance of realist with AI at number 78, go one higher and it goes insane.

Why are the graphics always awful for these games? It looks like a game from 5 years ago, the background trees are obviously 2d. These small one level maps should be able to sustain really impressive graphical fidelity.

2022 is really fun once u get used to it, except rain which is a bit excessive with the gentleness on gas required, 2021 is great too idk if I ever need another one graphically everything peaked and its just CTRL+V for tracks

Looks like every other milestone GP game. Why people continue to pay top dollar for an unfinished game baffles me. The AI looks horrific, doesn't look like they are fighting or brutal at all, it looks as though they don't even see you the way they try to ride through you at almost every corner, same shit as well the previous milestone games.

The bike standing up with throttle application is realistic. It may or not be exagerated but still it is a real effect. But the lack of historic bikes is unforgivable. Milestone going for the EA route, sadly. I was kinda pumped for the game, but that was a bummer. Also, does the RC213v still sound like a screamer or did they fix it? Doubt they did. Sad, this being lacking in the roster bit and Ride 5 looking like a lazy rehash.

A shame they haven't updated the Moto3 and Moto2 bikes and riders for release, again, this year.... Now we have to wait until they decide to update Moto3 before we can start our career mode in Moto3, if we want to ride the proper 2023 bikes instead of the same ones we did in the 22 game

Have they improved speed perception when entering corners ? For example in TT Assen, it’s almost impossible to gauge you’re speed when entering the first right hand corner after the start. I noticed F1 and a couple other racing games have improved this so that you can actually gauge the speed entering corners by feel. Thoughts ?

I have been playing car racing for many years (now Xbox Series X with playseat and Logitech G923 wheel) and it's the feel of the cars that makes a difference to me, can you feel the difference between the bikes or are they just all alike? I have still to find a bike racing game that feels anything like real racing (I have done a lot of bike trackdays)....

Each manufacturer of the motogp bikes really feels different in this one and each sound different. I don’t notice if the Ducati is faster on straights so I’m not sure if the unique characteristics include real life differences but definitely in corners they are all very different to ride. Now they just need to improve the ai.

Well not being a Bike gamer, how is MotoGP 23 in the Rookie mode??? Are the AI bikes much slower in the Rookie mode? All I ever see in these reviews are people that are very well experienced in Bike games. I am just wondering if I would also be disappointed even in the Rookie mode??? Game is pretty damn nice, I recommend it and I could not stand 21 and 22. I feel like the fun factor is back. Maybe tone down the standing up on throttle a bit since it really do screw your line very easy. At the same time when you do come in correct and lick the corner it can help you push the bike out if you go too close. It just takes a new approach and practice. It definitely add a cool feeling it's just that all angles and throttle levels changed. When perfected I feel this will be the beginning of a new standard for the series. I hope they don't screw it up going forward.

Just got the game yesterday, after playin ride 5 for over a month. Accelerating picks up the bike and is very annoying, it happens in moto 3 a lot, moto 2 is only one that is normal... I like Ride 5 physics way more. Also i amproved a TON my riding, you won't guess how. Got a new controller, Gamesir t4k Kaleid. Now I ride like you, Robo! Either my xbox controller was broken, or this controller si a godsent. It has hall effect sensors, 0 deadzone, everything is WAY more accurate. Totally recommend it. Wonder wich one do you use. I can't believe xbox gives so horrible controller, it's really bad. Pickin up the bike, worst part of the game, and it also makes no sense, i ride on track. That does not happen unless i do it intentionally. Might try a refund..

My issue is the A.I like them dudes dont crash. I be seeing them slam into each other ram the back of me and i crash and they keep going, they ride in the dirt and dont slide. Everything else is fine with the game to me

The game looks nice but in line with the disappointing season 2023 and controversial rules and aerodynamics with lots of electronics which made this sport more and more artificially just like in F1 today... So no historic bikes and lack of Rossi is a big nail to coffin and fatty minus for no buy at the full price. Maybe after a big discount it will be worth it to buy if they add in the future VR46 and historical bikes. In my opinion still not too big a step up from 22 and arcade feeling. RaceWard in the new iomtt3 is like a top class SIM when compared to MotoGP 23. On my honest opinion like non paid reviewer easily a step back from the MotoGP 22.

I think Isle of Man looked pretty crap tbh. Bad sound with weird gear pops on gear shifting and then basketball squeeky shoe sound when turning, very strange sounddesign choice and silly quite frankly. It also look way more arcade, very twitchy and bouncy. MotoGP 23 is great, looks sick, feels sick and awesome tracks. I struggled at first and I can say it took 21 hours to start enjoying it and pretty much almost hated it the first 15 hours because of how hard and different it is coming from GP 20.

as someone who has actually played TT3 and gp23, i much prefer TT3. it is not "arcadey" in the slightest. the sense of speed is far superior than gp as well. maybe give it a torrent and see which one you like and then buy

The AI just feels off to me. they seem so unnatural and they are always braking and turning into you. For me, this is an unpleasent experience, otherwise, good physics.. really hard to control the bike without assists.

Pretty underwhelming. Removed a lot of content (Moto-E, Season 2009 etc that MIGHT be added. Probably as DLC) weird physics. AI seems as dumb as before and weather conditions don’t apply to them. Dynamic weather system, social media and updated bikes: At best a DLC. Waiting for sale

i like the game but career feels pointless im JUST racing no managers to hire no bike to really upgrade no money needed the commenting to other riders i get 1 maybe 2 emails per race and its normally my team mate or the rival for the season with almost no comments to reply to the other riders so there all orange to me i have only done 1 season of Moto3 so far maybe it will get better and il have more to do maybe whats worse is the teams hiring you i was moto3 champion and i only had 2 Moto2 teams to pick from none of which i wanted so i had to pick a team i didnt want

The game is good but there is some handling issues and speed issues which needs to be fix. The bike doesn’t want to turn in the corners and the speed is no way near to moto gp 22 bike speed

I disagree with handling issues. I love it so far. But i agree with the top speed. Motogp22 i managed to clock 354kmph on Mugello but this new motogp only 338 top speed. If anyone knows how to adjust the gears ratios pls do share with me

Nah, It's not worth the price. I will just wait for a sale. Till then I will download the torrent version. Handling seems so stressful. What I dont get is Milestone is trying to make it realistic but everyone is on controller. So it should be semi arcade. I have spent hours on all F1 games and people play on steering wheel and also on controller. There is some balance there. This is not good. Milestone not taking feedbacks from 2022.

They listened to people like you on the Ride 4 launch and they started changing everything at once and they just lost the sight of any goal. It was only when they stopped touching it a year or so later that it finally started to work somewhat ok. If you personally feel something is too hard you need to question yourself first. I know there's lots of people more than capable of learning how to play these games how they can be played, and there is no other way but being smooth on every input. The fastest players often use softer tires because the smoother the input, the less you stress the tires. The learning curve is steep and that's just the name of the game. If you don't want that, then you should play something else. Try facing challenges instead of running away.

PS: I've owned 6 motorycles myself(last bike was CBR1000RR) and ridden lots of other through friends and at the dealer I used to work at for 7 years. I've done lots of trackdays as well as lots of miles on road. My personal experience of riding motorcycles has got nothing to do with the physics in this videogame. The only thing I've established is pointing out the people who complain about a game being too hard, and nobody likes people who cry wolf. Pesonally I don't play FPS games simply because I have no want anymore for those games and those games are very competitive to the point it would ruin my experience. I know I would never play these motorcycle games if I just wasn't interested enough to actually do what it takes to become better. If you quit, you quit. Own up to it and stop whining.
