as someone who sim races religiously i have no idea how in the world you guys are saying motogp has better physics. ride 5 is the better game all around

As a motogp fans.. i think ride 5 has better physic… honestly motogp gameplay is a bit uncomfortable.. i wish i can play motogp with ride5 physic

I have MotoGP23 and Ride 4. People say that from R4 to R5 differences are subtle. I like R4 but the physics are straight non-existent. MotoGP23 is almost perfect, the only thing it lacks is tire physics. The only sim games I've played with actual tire physics are Forza Motorsport (2023) and F1 23. R4 is a overall good game and very funny... When you accept driving bikes like in an arcade game. Feedback is also non-existent, so no way to avoid falls pushing limits. To put an example: When you lean and want to rectify, you can subtly increase throttle to go wider or subtly push rear brake to go closer. In MotoGP23 this works flawlesly. In R4 you instantly fall with zero tire feedback, no matter how subtle you rectify. Also, you don't get wider doing this, as physics are in fact non-existent. Ride 4 is arcade, just that. If you guys can confirm this improved in R5 I may try it, but as I read it is exactly the same game (Graphics look identical).

Also to note, the daytona 765 moto2 is more marketing than a literal moto2 bike for the street, so it's hard to say the physics or feel is better in one game or the other based on these bikes. The KTM RC8C coming in Feb is probably the closest we'll get to a real motogp bike in Ride 5 as it's heavily based on KTM's 2020 Moto2 chassis.

Gameplay motogp takes the cake. For everything else content graphics ride 5 wins.

Neither of the two games has a realistic exhaust sound, they should remove the sound from real motorcycles and put it in the game, loud, of course.

Ride 5 clearly has better physics and is more on the realistic side as moto gp feels smooth and somehow unrealistic

I have both, i just got off motogp2023, abd hopped on ride 5 SO different physics, Ride 5 physics are way better, and have weight to the bike. MotoGP is more beautiful,and better presentation, but on my controller theres dead zones where i can even ride the buke smoothly. But on ride 5 im smooth.

Almost same gameplay(both are good), just different type of bikes choosing to me, wish ride 5 released on switch.

I don't think you'd be able to control throttle as easily on switch because the trigger is effectively a button.

Ride 5 is closer to a real atmosphere... MotoGP is a bit too contrasty. However, the track PBR shader is performing better on MotoGP. Maybe materials on Ride 5 aren't using the right shader for their environment materials?... Maybe one is Unreal and the other Unity, lol

@@10secondsrule5 months late but, 1st person sucks in bike games you're never actually looking forward during a corner you're eye is tracking the apex but if you far off line you can't move the view and still control the bike easily... Long story short it needs VR for 1st person views

Mugello Circuit is a motorsport race track in Italy. It’s not fictional track so every racing games can include this track in their game as long as they have the license

both of these games are an unfair comparison to one another in terms of physics. ride5 does a great job replicating the punishing nature of things like not being gentle on the throttle or brakes or bad load transfers. makes ride 5 come down to feel extremely well, as if youre one with the bike. unfortunately, motoGP bikes have aero and different technological developments than your average liter bike. i have no experience with anything bigger than a 10R (and zero experience with a motoGP bike) therefor i cant really tell if motoGP is accurate to the real life thing or not.
